"Reveal yourself!" I demanded. The imposter, disguised as a child, quickly dropped their arms. They were playing their part well. Whomever sent them must've paid handsomely. This shifter was trained to stay in character so well that it reminded me of my council days.

Fierce anger coursed through my body as the thought sunk in and the creature continued to stare at me with innocent eyes.
