"What?" Mother asked, confused.
He wiped my tears and carried me.
"Can we talk, mom, dad?" He asked.
We went to dad's office to talk. Kyle was still holding me and I was clinging onto him. I felt like I didn't want to let him go.
He put me down gently on the couch but I was still staring at him. I felt like if I blink or took my eyes off him, he will disappear. He sat down on the couch beside me while my parents sat across us.
"What do you mean by what you said?" Mom asked again.
"She may have separation anxiety caused when I left her. It's an excessive fear of separation from a loved one." He said.
"How did you know that?" I asked.
“Can you tell me when did you know that Peggy was your sister?” I asked. I suddenly got curious. We were on the plane to Flousia and it’s a two hour flight so I’m getting bored. I was surprised to see the photos of him and Peggy on his phone so I got curious. “Why did you suddenly become interested? Are you jealous of my own sister again?” He teased. I pouted. I remembered the day I saw them in a cafe. They look like a couple not siblings. They were apart from each other for two decades and now they were so close. “I was just curious how you two got closer that easily.” I said. He chuckled and pinched me on the cheek. “We met when Jayden and her came to Flousia. That time sh
"Your father didn't tell me about you. I just received news one day that she's dead because of cancer." Grandpa said in a sad voice. "How about we sit first so you can talk." I said. I still couldn’t believe it. I have a sister and she was my first love’s friend. Looking at her, she really looks like our mother. I didn’t really remember what she looked like. I was given to Grandpa and was brought to Flousia when I was six months old, but I saw her pictures in Grandpa’s room and in her room. We sat on the couch to talk. Jayden was sitting beside Peggy while me and Grandpa sat across from them. "You look like your mother. I thought she was you. Did your father ask you to come here?" Grandpa asked. Peggy shook her hea
"Who's Emily? And how did you know each other?" Grandpa asked.I told him everything including Emily. He already knew her but maybe he wasn’t really paying attention when I told him."So you already met your sister there, fell in love with her friend, but she didn't choose you because she thought you're poor?" He said in disgust."No! It was a misunderstanding. I let her go because I thought she didn't like me. I told her I was going to date someone so he dated someone else. It was too late when we found out we're in love with each other. She was already engaged. She asked me to take her away but I was thinking about her family and Xander." I said."Emily was heart broken and didn't leave her room for a week when you left her." Peggy said.
"My mother was also from an underground organization. But she was murdered on her own. So I was looking for her killers and accidentally found Margaret's father." Jayden was the one who answered. Peggy looked at him confused. "What do you mean?" But Jayden didn't answer. We didn't ask further, it was about his mother after all. "Do you know where I can find mom's driver?" Peggy asked grandpa. "Margaret I don't think it's a good idea to look for your father. It might be dangerous." I said. "I just want to know who he is and if he's still alive. Please grandpa?" She begged, looking at grandpa and me. "Jayden?" Grandpa looked at Jayden as if asking him if he's okay with it.
Emily POV“That’s when Jayden didn’t wake for a few days. I really thought that he would never wake up. Peggy was crying everyday and didn’t leave him. Back then, I was jealous of Jayden. The way Peggy cares for him and her love for him was admirable. When I saw Peggy crying, I thought about you. The day I left you in the garden, crying. I suddenly regret it. I wanted to go back, just to see you even for a moment. I wanted to make sure that you’re okay. My mind was also in a mess that time. Not only because of Peggy but because of you.” Kyle continued.“You’re worried about me?” I asked.“Of course! I’m sorry if I have never contacted you but you were always on my mind. Controlling myself not to go back or even send a message, I felt like I was d
I was walking back and forth, anxious. It's already ten in the evening but Kyle hasn't arrived yet. I called him but his phone was off.I know that he's busy doing his royal duties but my anxiety of being away from him was starting again. I stood up, got my robe on and walked towards the door. When I opened it there were two royal guards on both sides. They didn't say anything but bowed to me. I wasn't properly announced as the crown princess but since Kyle openly showed the nation that I am his, they were already bowing to me.“Can you tell me where Kyle is? I mean the crown prince?” I asked. I don’t really know what to call him in front of other people.“He’s in his office, your highness.” One man answered.
I know he understood what I meant. He pulled me closer to his, grabbing my waist with his arm. No one dared to look at us, they were just on their needs with their heads down.He took a deep breath and gave me a peck on the lips.“Go to your room. I’ll follow you. I just need to talk to them.” He said in a serious tone. “Loretta! Take her to her room.” He ordered. For some reason, my heart pounded loudly. I’m not sure if I felt I was afraid of him or because he said he’ll follow after.Loretta and the other servants took me back to my bedroom. Inside, they suddenly kneeled again and bowed. I wanted to scream in anger with them. I’m not used to this kind of treatment. I mean, I have maids at home but they never kneel or bow
"Care to explain why you're wearing something like that outside your bedroom? Look at you. It's too short and thin. Those men looked at you like meat." He almost yelled. "I was looking for you. I waited for you to come but you didn't. So I went out to come to you.” I explained. He took a deep breath and I know he was trying to calm himself. “Emily, I left a lot of paperworks when I went to your country. I was trying to finish it today so I could take you out tomorrow. I wanted to tour you around town. I thought we already talked about this.” He said. “You should at least send me a message. I thought you went out and left me here. I was thinking you were meeting some girls and looking for a mistress.” I blurted out which I regretted after.
