Chapter Four

"Feifei...how are you feeling?" He asked in the most softest voice he could mutter.

He felt an dull ache in his heart seeing her in this situation, tomorrow, some people were going to regret it after what they did to his woman!

"Not good...help me please?" Yang Lifei pleaded. She had heard the conversation between the friends in her drowsy state and knew that she was in danger. This was the same day that she lost her innocence in their previous life but at least in this life, she found Jin Chen first.

Hearing her soft voice, Jin Chen knew that he had to do something so he carried her from the bed and walked towards the bathroom. He put her under the shower hoping the cold water could bring her back to her senses so she could know what she was talking about. He removed the blonde wig and washed off the ugly make up from her face first.

"Are you sure Feifei?" He asked her, he didn't want her to regret and blame him the next day. He had no idea what she felt for him since they've never had any personal relationship. Although they had had dinner twice, they didn't know much about each other since their marriage was arranged but one thing was for sure, she had never shown any signs of being against them getting married. He had no idea that they had been married in their past life.

She knew that this man cared and loved since long because in their past life, he had revealed that he was the one who had asked for his grandfather to arrange for their marriage and knew exactly what he was thinking seeing the hesitation in his eyes, she stood on her toes and kissed his lips. This was their first kiss in this life and she felt his body stiffen when her lips landed on his.

She nibbled his lower lip and when he didn't make a move to reciprocate, she bit his lip waking him up from his stupor. Looking at her clear eyes full of determination, his last bit of self control was gone, "I hope you won't hate me tomorrow."

Discarding the wet clothes from their bodies, Jin Chen took the lead as he carried her back to the bedroom. Soon, the room was filled with sounds that could make anyone blush. The activity in the bedroom continued on for the whole night until Yang Lifei passed out from exhaustion.

Seeing her body temperature had gone down and how tired she was, Jin Chen carried his fiance to the bathroom and have her a warm bath before changing the sheets. He knew he had exhausted her and was bruised thus applied some ointment for her to soothe her swell.

Jin Chen dressed her in his t-shirt and boxer before slipping beside her with a gentle smile on his face and fell asleep. He had already left an assignment for his assistant before sleeping.

Clearly he had women clothing in his closet since he had always bought clothes the same style as hers knowing they were going to get engaged and kept them in his closet, but wanting to see her in his clothes he decided against it.

The next day, Yang Lifei woke up in the afternoon only to find herself in a big bedroom filled with dull colours. She wondered what happened and where she was and her questions were answered the moment she tried sitting up only to hiss in pain. Her body felt like she had been run over by a truck. And the other side of the bed was already cold, seemed like he had gone out.

Raising the covers, she saw that she was in a male tshirt and boxer and could also see the hickeys left on her body. She remembered what transpired last night and couldn't help the blush that creeped on her face. She took initiative with Jin Chen, how bold! She couldn't help but chastise herself.

"How am I going to face him now?" She asked herself.

Right at that moment, the door was opened by someone from outside. Yang Lifei looked over at the door only to see Jin Chen walking in with a tray full of food in his hands. 'How considerate of him,' she thought.

"You're awake. How do you feel?" His voice was as gentle as she could remember. Whenever they didn't fight, his voice was always filled with warmth when talking to her and that made her fall in love with him but they lived with different kinds of misunderstandings everyday. She felt sad just thinking how naive she was in her last life. If only she could've have listened to him and not those people she called friends, he couldn't have died because of her.

"Lifei? Feifei?" Jin Chen couldn't help but call out to her when he saw that she wasn't talking and looked sad and tears brimming in her eyes like she was going to cry any moment.

Is she going to cry? Is she regretting it already? He panicked and looked at her, the despare and disappointment in his eyes couldn't be hidden. He knew that she would hate him the next day, just what he feared the most.

"I feel like I have been run over by a truck. You didn't hold yourself back at all last night," she brought herself back from the sad memories when she noticed the emotions in his eyes. If there was anything that wanted to avoid in this life, that would be any kind of misunderstanding between them. She didn't want to strain their relationship in this life like it was in their previous.

Jin Chen felt like he was brought back to life when he heard her teasing voice. So he had misunderstood and she wasn't regretting it because her body was exhausted by him? Well, that was better than having her regret anything. But he was still bothered by sadness he saw in her eyes.

Why was she so sad? He really wanted to know.

He placed the tray on the bedside table before sitting at the age of the bed and taking her small hands in his, "I'm sorry. I couldn't control myself last night. Next time I wouldn't tire you out, okay?" He said as he rubbed small circles on her hands making her feel warm.

That was true. He really couldn't hold himself back last night. Seeing his beloved woman vulnerable beneath him, he just let loose. If possible, he would just want their bodies to merge together so he would always be together with her.

Next time? Who's going to sleep with you next time? She wanted to say that but kept it to herself because she was really embarrassed talking about that with him. She only lowered her flushed cheeks and didn't dare look at him.

Seeing her embarrassed face, he decided not to tease her anymore and changed the topic.

"Are you hungry? Since you didn't wake up for breakfast, I brought breakfast and lunch for you all together. Go wash up and come back to eat," he knew she was a foodie who didn't like missing any meals therefore bringing breakfast and lunch together.

"I can't walk. Since it's your fault, you'll have to carry me to the bathroom." She decided to act like a spoilt princess.

Why not? Since she didn't cherish her husband in their previous life, she'll do it in this life and make up for all the sad moments that they went through.
