I look over and see Jeremy sitting next to Nicolas. I have werewolf hearing, so I can hear what they are talking about. Nicolas is just staring at me, and Jeremy noticed.
Jeremy stated to him, "Man, don't even think about her. She is a part of the Barbie clan over there. They really do not date. I thought we were going to hit it off. Alexi and I that is. I went to give her a kiss and, you know what she did? She totally ripped up my shirt and then ran. She has not talked to me since. I even tried to make her jealous by kissing Stacy in front of her. No effect on her man." Hearing that, I laughed to myself.
Jeremy continues to talk to Nicolas, stating, "She is going to beat you in soccer, she is really that good. She is like a one-person team. She is faster and athletically more gifted than anyone I know." Nicolas mutters, "Today she will lose I guarantee you." He smirks.
Every class Nicolas follows me as I continue to ignore him. He will not get me angry. I am not letting him get to me. I will take my anger out on the field. I will show him who is going to win and what school is the boss. He is going to eat my dirt later. Kiki again laughs. "What Kiki are you a traitor?" Kiki replies, "You will see." Then she retreats into the back of my mind.
It is the last class and yes you guessed it, Nicolas followed me. As the class is ending and the bell rings. It looks like he is going to continue following me. I stop him and growl at him, “Listen creepy stalker don’t you have practice or something? You will need it to beat me and my team” I laughed and started to walk away. He states, “Later Barbie” He knows I can feel it, that I hate being called Barbie” I am not going to let him see he is upsetting me. I just smirk and leave.
I am headed to the West end of the field where our team for the school is warming up. I have already changed into my soccer uniform. It is time for the game.
I see my cheering parents in the crowd. How much I love them. There is also Jeremy sitting with no other than Stacy. I laughed to myself, thinking about his conversation with Nicolas earlier. Trying to use Stacy to get me jealous. So not working… I chuckle.
At the other end of the field, Nicolas is warming up with his group. A smirk appears on his face as he winks at me. It is so annoying! I cannot stand him! I cannot believe such a pompous jerk exists!
I turn away and just ignore that I saw him. I give the team a pep talk. “Remember we are the Champions. Do not let that pompous team psyche you out. We will win the National Finals. We are the best team in the U.S. We are the Warriors!! We are Warrior Falcons!! I put my fist up in the Air and yelled Falcons!!” The whole team does the same and we jump and high five each other. We look at the other team with hunger in our eyes. We are going to eat them alive. We will win!
To make their team feel like they can defeat us, the opposing team hypes up their team. Laughing I think, "Like they have any chance!"
They are better than I bargained for. The Game is tough. I feel like they are almost performing equally to my ability. I would say "Almost".
Prior to landing in front of someone, I usually perform a triple axel. The crowd likes it when I show off to them, even though that is not a part of the game. Getting to the ball, I didn't have time to perform my signature leap over people today. The game resembled American football more than soccer.
Next thing I know, there were fights between guys and girls on the field because of pushing and shoving. As the one who makes all the scores, some try to gang up on me. I'm too fast for them to catch up. Despite this, they're good and I can't get my shot into the net.
As each team began punching the other, punches flew back and forth. Now that the referees have entered the arena, they are breaking the teams up. As I stand there, the ball bounces back and forth between my knees. Nicolas knees the ball out of my grasp. "What, you are so about to pay for taking my ball!"
Nicolas stops in the field, egging me on, "Come on Barbie! Who is going to win?"
I am getting furious, and my claws have grown longer. When I realized I couldn't let the crowd see the wolf, I backed away.
I huff and run across the rocky Cricks Stones nestled in the water, out of the back of the field. Once in the forest, I fully transform into Kiki. Unbeknownst to me, Nicolas has been following me.
Neither Captain is playing anymore. Once I am deep inside the woods, I stop. The tongue dangles out of my mouth as I pant. I sit down and rest for a while. This helped me relax and get control over my wolf. Just relaxing, licking my paws, and preening my fur.
There is a crackling sound coming from the leaves. There was a hulking black wolf with silver highlights in front of me as I looked up. His appearance was stunning. As big as I was as a wolf, the wolf was. This is not typical for regular wolves.
Growling at this wolf, I get up. I want to scare it away from my territory. Can you tell me what will happen instead? I will tell you what will happen. That wolf changes into Nicolas. The more I look at him, the more curious I become.
Nicolas commands me to shift. I think, "Oh no, he didn't." Hence, my position is unchanged. Who does he think he is when he demands I take on the human form? Once again, he commands me. But I refuse to obey. "I am an Alpha, and a normal werewolf would obey out of instinct to my commands." Nicolas sighs, "Could you please shift so we can talk?" With that, I returned to my human form.
I replied, "Was that so challenging to ask nicely, was it?" He looked at me quizzically and said, "You don't smell like a rogue." Yet you do not smell like you have a pack. Frankly, I don't know why you are in a human town."
My sigh grows deeper. "First, I don't know what a rogue is. I'm not familiar with the concept of a pack, unless you're referring to a pack of dogs. How I ended up here is a mystery. My human parents have yet to disclose who I am or why I am here. Because they have been wonderful parents to me, I have not wanted to hurt their feelings. However, that is my plan tonight."
Nicolas stares at me in shock, "You mean you know nothing about our kind?" He runs his fingers through his curly bangs. He then looked at me, "You need to be more careful about letting your wolf show. You were losing it on the field. We cannot let humans know we exist."
I huff out loud, "You don't think I know that. It didn't help that you were egging me on, so that is why I ran off the field. You could tell I didn't like being called Barbie!"
He looks at me, "If I had trained you in a pack you would have learned to control your wolf even if you are mad." I shrugged my shoulders, "Again, I have no clue what a pack is. I lived my life as a human in a small town. At 13, I experienced the shock of my life when I turned into a wolf. I thought I had gone insane."
Nicolas looks at me in amazement. "What is happening?" he asks. "Most she-wolves don't turn until they're about 15-16 years old. Only Alphas and Royals have their first change that young. Who are you?"
I reply, "Heck if I know."
Nicolas looks perplexed. "Here is an issue he states, now that we know you exist. I need to report you to the council. We need to bring you back with us. You need to be trained as to not give our secret about our species to the humans."
Then I stare at Nicolas. "I have told no one that I am a wolf, nor would my parents let me leave with you two. I plan to apply to college when I graduate from high school. Therefore, traveling with you two is not in my plans!"
In the back of my mind, Kiki speaks up. "We need to let go of our pride. We need to find out about our kind, remember?"
Sighing, I realize Kiki is right, "Okay, I'll come, but not now. I need to complete my graduation first. That will only be a couple of months away. I want to know more about my kind. So far, I have encountered no one else like me."
My friends and family are my life, and I do not want to leave them. Nicolas does not realize how hard emotionally this is for me. I have never been away from my home.
I am lifted by Nicholas as he stands up. And with a daring look, he said, "Come on, Barbie! Race you back!" Oh, he is so pompous! As I shifted while jumping, I shouted, "Game on!" Do I have a competitive streak? Yes, with a capital "C". As I ran and jumped over him, I thought I would leave him behind. But I was wrong. He leaped over me to lead the way. Obviously, I'm not having it. In all honesty, it was fun hanging out with someone like me. The wolves enjoyed their time as well. Besides prancing around, Kiki was also competitive, attempting to outrun the wolf. We found the field was empty when we shifted back and returned. I looked for my friends, but they had left. Because neither team captain was present, all members of the team left. We find out that they have moved the game to tomorrow. I entered the locker room to get dressed. It seems the girls have gotten another ride home. There is no sign of them in the parking lot. Nicolas' bus was still waiting fo
Together, my parents and I enjoy watching TV. Sheldon was our favorite show when he was young. The show is hilarious. My mother holds my head as I fall asleep. As I hear my mother say, "Honey, you need to get to bed.". I stand up and rub my eyes before walking to the stairs. I lie down on my bed when I reach my room. In my pocket, my phone buzzes. Apparently, someone texted me. My friends have been asking about Nicolas and me several times. The latest one was from Nicolas. "Hey, just checking to see if you made it home okay" Yes, I did. "I asked my parents about who I am." "What did they say?" Nicolas asks. They know nothing, honestly. In the note they left on the curb, they kindly requested that their baby princess be taken care of. Besides the note, I also had a gold wolf necklace. Doesn't that sound strange? My parents ab
We were under a lot of pressure as a team. But what was I expecting? They were up against actual wolves. It wasn't just their strength that mattered. Their agility was just as impressive. My team possessed these characteristics. Esther, who held the ball, was the weakest player on the team. Should the ball go out of bounds, my heart broke for her. I can only imagine how devastating it would be for her. Only minutes remained in the game. Upon making my wish for Esther's sake, she made her a net within minutes. Ultimately, both teams' scores are tied. Ester's face was a mixture of shivers, tears, and smiles. It was a joyous moment for all of us. Nicolas approached me as I headed off to the field. Nicolas asked me, "Are you picking me up later?" I smiled, "I might." I kept on walking, pretending to ignore him. After that, he threw me over the shoulder with the remark, "Ignore me now!" I screamed and started hitting his back. "LET ME DOWN!
I pull up in front of the hotel where Nicolas is waiting. He smiles and jumps in the car. I ask him about pack life and what a normal day is like? What are his mother and father were like? Did he have siblings? I had learned his father was the Alpha of the pack and that when Nicolas became of age, the title would pass down to him. He has 2 sisters and another brother. I wonder if my biological parents had other children. In both human and wolf form, Nicolas said they trained often in self-defense. Parking is a short distance away from Cullies. Seeing my friends, I wave. I walk with them to their booth. It is a large, half-circular booth. Nicole let me slide into the booth first. He then slid right beside me. Wrapping an arm around my shoulders. At the table, we share food like mozzarella sticks, chicken strips, and nachos. Rachel brought a date; the other girls swung solo. We laughed a lot, joked around, and sang a lot. After checking my cell phone, it was time to go
After Nicolas hops into Alexi's bedroom window, he is in shock to see me. He growls ready to pounce.. "Who are you?" Nicolas demands in his Alpha voice. I am part fairy, so the Alpha voice doesn't work on me, but out of regard for the werewolves' traditions of honor and respect I bow my head. "Hush now Alpha Nicolas, I am Alora, Alexi's personal guard and one of the beta's to her father the King. I only opened the window and let you in so we can get Alexandria out of here." He calms down and looks perplexed. "Are you the person who shows up in Alexis's dreams?" Nicolas asks quizzically. "That I am, young Alpha." "Alexandria is not just any Royal. She is the king's only daughter. Because of her being the White wolf from prophesies she had to be hidden. We will discuss this more when she walks in.” Alexi walks in and her eyes were open wide in shock to see the woman from her dreams sitting on her bed. "Your real?" "Yes, and every
It started sprinkling over my head as I roll around on the bed having a wet dream and no; it is not the kind you are thinking of. The rain outside transferred into a rainstorm in my dream which annoyingly had a voice yelling Wake your ass up!! My eyes open with the rain sprinkling on my face. "What the HECK Alora?" Alora snickers. "That will teach you not to set your alarm. Really, Alexi, it could have been worst. I could have transported you to the field in nothing but your t-shirt and panties." Now get your butt up!!!" Alora snaps her fingers and mumbles some words and the sprinkling of water stopped and all was dry again. Throwing my legs over the bed, pulling my t-shirt down as to cover my lacy black panties. I scream out of embarrassment as I am looking up; I see Nicolas leaning in the open-door. Nicolas has a smirk on his face chuckling as he saw what had happened. "Looks like Princess needs more discipline." Nicolas chuckles. "By the wa
Alexi focuses this time on being called Barbie. As a fireball forms, Alexi watches it grow until it is about the size of a baseball, and then she slams it into the lake. As she laughed and jubilates, she jumps up and down. I've done it, guys; I controlled it! But of course, my drill instructor Alora stated, "This is only once you had control, Alexandria, not worth a party." I growled and formed the next fireball easily. Slamming the fireball again in the lake. Showing off, I created a fireball in each hand and juggled the fireballs. Then pretended like I was going to throw them at Nicolas. "Nicolas, what is my name?" Laughing, Nicolas stated, "Barbie. " "Wrong Answer," throwing the fireball next to his feet. "Try again." Laughing as I threaten to throw the next fireball. Nicolas puts up a peace sign "Truce " Nicolas walks over and puts his hands on either side of my face and the remaining fireball dissipated while he leaned in and kissed me. H
I find a pair of folded black leggings in my drawer and a sports bra in another drawer. I glance in the mirror, and I am pleased with how well I look. You might think I am conceited, but I am not. I do not think of myself as better than anyone else. It is just a matter of fact. My blonde hair is down to my waist; I have beautiful curves and am about 5'7" tall. To achieve the ballerina effect, I've put my hair in a ponytail and then twisted it in a bun. My ballet shoes are at the gym, so I am not wearing any shoes now. Running downstairs, trying not to stub my bare toes. I enter the gym. I see several young wolves exercising in the gym. A few people watched me as I entered the ballet room, some of whom smiled at me. The guy on a tread mill winked at me flirtatiously. I smiled, blushed, and looked away from him. Good thing Nicolas wasn't here. Talk about anger issues, that guy has them when guys notice me. Sitting on the floor, I put on the ballet slippers she gave me.
