Mrs Smith prepared beef for dinner. Emma and Nancy sat down and ate their food quietly. Their parents, on the other hand, kept talking about Cathy. They had gone to meet Cathy's parents while Emma was away. Nancy too had gone along with them. They were planning to keep Cathy's funeral in their hometown where most of their relatives resided. They were in distraught regarding Cathy's death. She was their only child and they had loved her very much. Emma's parents were shocked to know that the police hadn't told them much about Cathy's death.

" They only received a call from police about Cathy. She was completely burned to Ashes. It must have been such a blow for them," said Mr Smith.

"I wonder why they were not letting David meet the eyewitness. After all, how can parents just look at ashes and believe that their daughter died?" said Mrs
