Emma spend most of the day writing down all the important points her teachers told in their class. She kept a separate notebook for each subject especially for these important points. Despite having a locker, Emma carried more books than other students in her bag.
Emma considered being a loner as a blessing as she could properly focus on her studies. According to her, most students spend their high school trying to be popular instead of concentrating on their subjects. She thought the right time to gain popularity was only after graduating from a good university.

A couple of kids sat in a small room, playing with toys, Barbie dolls and cars. The small room had paintings of mickey mouse and Minnie mouse all over the white walls. Few children were sitting in a corner and building a house with blocks. The only adult person in the room was a pretty woman with a blonde curly. She wore a long beautiful blue dress. "So my grandparents were hunters?" Emma asked her mother, Helina Smith.Mrs Smith had spent nearly three hours telling about her childhood to her daughter. Emma's paternal and maternal grandparents were hunters who killed vampires and werewolves. She recalled the first time she saw a vampire was the first time she met Emma's father. Mrs Helina Smith also told Emma about the ways they worked.They would live a normal life until weekends. Everyone would gather at a large house somewhere in the city and target the vampire's they need to kill. They would keep all the children below twelve in one separate room. The teenagers were taken to completely another place for training on these weekends. The teenagers who had important exams were taken to another house along with a couple of other well-trained hunters.

After eating breakfast, Emma left for school along with her father and Nancy. Mr Smith decided to get Nancy checked by another doctor. So he decided to drop Emma at school and took Nancy to another hospital away from Roseville. The journey to school wasn't that quiet even though Nancy closed her eyes and slept in the car.
