Chapter 5

~Grace~

Woking up from a deep sleep, I can feel my head hurt so bad. I groaned as tried myself get off of the bed and hold my head spinning.

I look at my slippers beneath my bed but wasn't there. I always put it there right after I go to bed. I know for sure I would'nt ever forget it as I can't walk barefooted. I scanned my room, remembering where did I put it last night but to my dismay, my head hurts again.

I groaned loudly as I roamed my eyes inside. Shock is all written on my face when I noticed that my room's interior isn't the one inside. Plane white is my room's color, and not black and white! And my bathroom isn't on the left part! But I realized, this might be my best friend's room.

The old hour glass wasn't even on the bedside table of my room. I probably get inside her room without informing her. Gosh, this might be the effect of drinking a lot of wine. I'm so lost of myself, I can't even remember what was the last time I did before I lost consciousness.

I tried to stand up but I groaned when pain attack my back. Rubbing and massaging, I flinched when it hurts again. Seriously, what happened to me that aside from a hungover, my back hurts a lot?

I bit my lips badly and tried hard to pull myself to walk inside the bathroom. As much as I want to remember what happened last night, my smell isn't so good to bear. My smell stinks.

I looked at my reflection on the mirror. My outfit had changed yet my my hair still messed up and my make up didn't removed. I boredly sighed, started to find any unused towel inside, wanted to get fresh immediately.

I scanned the cabinets under the sink and search for something can be useful. I found many bathrobes though it was very large for me. This isn't Seffie's size. She's a petite person and this is for someone who have large body. I shake my head again when I pictured someone having the large body.

As I took a bath, it's like my senses get back on me. I looked inside the big bathroom and felt hyperventilated.

This isn't really my room and obviously, this isn't Seffie's room! We only have tight space and having this large space just for the bathroom is so impossible.

I fixed the robe on my body because it is so large for real. I scanned the bathroom's toiletries and to my surprise, these are all from a man.

Realization hit me that from shocked, I slipped down on the wet floor. Before I could even scream louder, I heard a heavy footsteps hushed to where I am and it didn't took any minutes, the steps came clearly as the door of the bathroom swung open. “Geez, what the fuck woman. What happened to you?”

My eyes widened to hear Mr. Baltemore curses and to see him on my sight, mad. I felt my cheeks blushed when his eyes laid and surveyed me. “Get up, woman! You looked like a loss wet kitten,” he ordered which puts me back to my senses.

“Oh gosh, get out of here!” I screamed, realizing he saw me almost naked. He froze a bit but then he shook his head and stormed out. Still on the floor, I force myself to get up but only slipped again, resulting me to bang in the door frame of his shower.

“Ouch, what the hell!” I exclaimed. This is really not my day today. I'm lack of lucks and bad lucks tried to seek me.

The door clicked, Mr. Baltemore showed himself on the door frame. “Still can bear it, Ms. Simson? Stand up and make it fast, I'm going to send you home.”

“Are you mocking me?” I hissed as I get up. One slipped, I groaned again, enduring the pain on my back.

He sighed, “I guess I need to carry you. You couldn't even handle yourself,” without further ado, he scooped me on his arms and went outside.

I shrieked to his sudden moved, wiggled my body to put me down. Volts of electricity run down my body when his skin touched my legs.

He scowled at me and tightened his grip. “Stop moving woman. Or else, we both fall on the floor.” He look at the hem of my robe, slightly lifted until my upper legs exposed.

“Argh, hey don't look at my legs! Concentrate your eyes on walking, you prick!”

My cheeks turns crimson as his lips twisted.

“Don't worry, Ms Simson. That's not yet enough to makes me attracted to you. It needed millions of luck for you to be perfect on my eyes. You're nott even one of the girls I feasted,” he proudly said.

I mimicked his words and sneered him. “You're even very proud of your hobbies? I shouldn't wonder, you're the most arrogant man I ever know.” I rolled my eyes and scanned his place. “Hey, if I fall and hit the floor again, I swear to you, Mr. Baltemore,” I warned.

He went on the staircase, looked at me and clenched his jaw while fixing his grip on my legs. “Just don't move again, Ms. Simson.”

He started walking that I'm started to be afraid to fall again on the floor. “Hey, put me down. I think I can walk from here.”

He didn't respond on what I've said. Instead he carried me until we reached the kitchen, put me on the high stool beside the counter top. “Do you need anything?”

I bit my lips, trying not suppress any complains as my spine ached once more. I rubbed my back, eyed him when he surveyed me again. “How I ended up here in your house with my back hurts a lot?”

His lips twisted, didn't answer my question, instead make himself busy on rummaging the drawers and his cabinet above his kitchen counter. I let him do what he wants.

I stand up and look around his house. The coldness of the tiles seethed on my barefoot so I straddle my foot into another while leaning on the counter top. “Where are we?”

He turned to me, “My penthouse,” he simply said.

“What are you doing? Aren't you send me home now?” I curiously asked.

Mr. Baltemore didn't respond, he rummage his cabinets and brought something on his counter top. After, he looked up to me but his eyes suddenly went down on the valley of my breast. I rolled my eyes at him and fixed the robe again. “Keep your eyes up Mr. Baltemore,” I demanded.

He smirk at me and shrugged. “You want coffee?” he change the topic easily. I think I need it to lessen my stress at him that's why I nodded immediately. He raised his brows while he put a cup infront of me. “Let's have a breakfast first before sending you off. I also have meetings right now which obviously... cancelled because of... you.”

I can't help not to rolled my eyes at him. He's really arrogant himself. He saw what I did which make him smirked. He turned his back to me and moved in the kitchen like I wasn't there.

I looked at him while his deadly eyes don't look me yet. I admit that he looks deadly handsome. First sight, I got mesmerized by his emerald eyes. He looks dashing on his coat but I didn't know he will be more drop dead handsome on his white V-neck shirt and a sweatpants right now. Far from his usual attire every time we meet. Just a little bit offended by his air. It makes me uncomfortable and intimidated by him.

I suddenly averted my gaze when he turned to me. And it's too late to see him now smirking at what I did.

“Done surveying my back, Ms. Simson?” he teased.

My mouth left open to gasped. I bit my lips as I can feel my chest pounding so fast from nervousness. “T-the hell of you Mr. Baltemore for assuming things?” I stuttered but mask out what I'm feeling through raising him a brow.

I heard him chuckled lightly and amusement showered his face. Darn it. Why still he need to be daring in his laughs? My cheek turns bright red that I looked away to him.

“I guess, I should be just thankful you didn't fired me daggers behind my back.” He slightly laughed that made me fascinated at his little dimple showed in the bottom of his lips.
