Chapter 6

~Rage~

After sending Ms. Simson home, I drove off my way to the company. I'm done taking responsibilities of her. I already wasted long hours for her, I shouldn't take any more minutes to contemplate about what happened.

I have many things to finish that's why after adjourning the board members from the meeting, I left the conference room immediately and went back to my office. I opened the door to my office only to get stunned to see Lynea, patiently waiting on me in one of the couch.

Neverminding her, removed my suit and place behind the swivel chair. Lynea walks near me, before I could avoid her, she cling her arms on my nape and press her body against mine.

“Hi, I miss you babe,” Lynea blurted, hugging me tightly.

I patiently heaved a sigh with her touchy moves that I smelled her sweet minty perfume. I technically evaded my face near her neck, push her body with my hands and unclasped her gripped on me.

“What are you doing here Lynea?” I her and left her. How sweet her perfume is makes me want to throw her outside the building.

She slouched on the chair infront of my table, crossed her legs. “I've been waiting for you in the usual club you in always but you never came, Rage."

“I wasn't present always, Lynea, so expect me to not be there every time you look at me.” I pointed out to makes it clearer for her.

“Are you avoiding me, Rage? I know I was at fault to declined your—” I stopped her immediately from her words.

“That wasn't for you, Lynea.” I sharply look at her, disappointed at her being delusional.

She gasped, not believing what I told to her, she stood and went to me. “What? So all this time you're fooling me around?” she shouted on my face.

I shut my eyes, controlling myself not lash her throat from raising her voice in front of me. This woman is trying to test my patience.

“Get out of here, Lynea before I could do something bad to you.” I was about to turn around when she hooked her arms on my neck and tried to kiss my lips but I looked away which makes her kiss my cheeks.

I forcefully drag her hands out of me and throws her away. Anger started to crawl because of her mischievousness. “We're done talking, Lynea. Get out of my office, now!”

“Why you're like this now, Rage. You really want me gone?” Lynea unbelievably asked.

“Yes, Lynea. Get out now or you rather wanna get assisted by the guards to get out of this building, it's okay with me.”

Hatred seethed on her face, she stormed out of my office without saying any words. I called the CCTV room as soon after she left, asked them to look at Lynea out of the building. They told me that she's heading to the ground.

“Good. Informed me then after if she's out of the building.” I lasted before ending the call.

I walked in the corner and poured a drink for myself. I can't believe women flocked at me this days. Firstly, I'm done keeping a hold at that careless woman then now a cunning bitch? What might next?

I called before my secretary that soon enough after I get calmed, she knocks once then showed herself.

“How Lynea came inside my office, Ms Cruz?” I immediately started my banter on her incompetency.

I know she knows my first and foremost rule that no one should enter my office without my consent. When I accepted her, I already mimicked the rules inside and she shouldn't be failed. Right now she failed me.

“I'm so sorry Mr. Thompson, I was scared she blackmailed me. It was my foolishness to let her be.” She explains while intertwining her fingers and massage her right thumb lightly.

“Did you let her enter my office?” I confronted calmly as I can be. I couldn't be mad at her on her first failure. Besides from her one recklessness, I can't count how many times she had help me.

“She warned me to back off and even wants me hurt physically. I'm sorry about that, Sir.” She faced me but her head look down.

I nodded, trying to accept her excuses besides I know much Lynea's attitude. She would inflict harm if she wanted the most.

I sat on my chair then put down the sign pen and massage lightly the bridge of my nose. I tilted my head and left the sight of the papers I'm holding to look at my secretary infront of me.

“Then the guards should pay for this, Ms Cruz. They're not doing their works properly, is that it?” I sarcastically said and nodded to myself.

I saw her stunned, shooked her head, bowed even more. I can't feel her stumbled on her feet nor nervous, how did she handles me is the one I don't know. She was so good at works but when it comes to those who are eager to see me, even had the audacity to enter this building, she's folding. I don't know what made her being afraid; knowing that the girls have the power or it just really because they are both girls and no one can ever beat a woman.

“Then I want you to call the manager of the maintenance department and fire the guards on the ground. I'm going out after, I don't want to see them any minutes by now. Do you understand that Ms. Cruz?”

My last statement boomed inside my office that she jumped a little bit because of shocked. My words are very clear that I don't think she won't understand it. I gave her an irritating look when she didn't replied and dismiss her immediately.

I rubbed my temple in circles remembering what Lynea almost did to me. She's really insane. Her face even full of make ups and even her perfume were disgusting, the first thing I hate with girls. They poured perfume all over their body that even their scent would be left in the room.

I turned the swivel chair to face the glass wall on my back. I looked at the skyscrapper infront as it blocks the view of the sunlight before heaving a sigh.

I remembered what have just happened to my Uncle is not a joke right now. They want to kill him and doing an ambush is dangerous. That's not a joke anymore. Uncle is my mother's brother and it wasn't good that our family can beat by just an unknown.

A single knocked stopped me from thinking deeply before the door swung open. I didn't move as I heard a footstep coming inside. “Mr. Thompson, from the finance department, one of the accounting team is here to report for your needed files.”

“Let him enter.” Before I could finish my words, another footsteps went closer on my table to where I am and stopped when got nearer. That someone could be a girl, I can smell from here her lavander scent.

The perfume was familiar that I scratched my nose and fisted my knuckles. How I can't forget who owns that scent when it made an impact on me of her unknowingly.

I really hate the smell of any perfume but that scent was kinda addicting. Although, it would be impossible to think that it was the careless woman whose inside my office.

The woman cleared her throat, which makes me stop to think deeply. She spoke lightly. “I'm sorry Mr. Thompson for taking it too long. You even wait for it.”

Her voice seems familiar but wasn't the high pitched voice of her. I shooked my head with all my thoughts. This woman would never be her. Even how it can be relaxing, I can feel her shaken a bit with her voice broke in the silence. Ms. Cruz, my secretary, left her alone that probably she got scared being alone with me inside.

“Our last ratings even decreased in the month of June—” she stated but I cut her words already.

“Please put the files on my table and leave my office now,” I demanded at her.

As much as I want to hear her voice speaking, her trembling voice in fear pissed me even more. She knows she can't keep talking, still pretending to speak in calm. I can read and analyze it anyway, she's just wasting her time to be formal at me even she just can't.

“I'm sorry Mr. Thompson, I didn't know about it.” She said the last thing with a hint of sarcasm and started to leave my office.

I smirked at it but got stopped when I heard her whispered another before storming out.

“Ceo, huh! That was so rude!” Before I could turned back, it was too late, I only watch her long hair swayed on the air before she disappeared.

That day almost didn't went well. Lynea did escaped with the guards and even went inside my office. Another, that stammering girl is damn running out of my mind. How stupid that with her words, I keep on thinking of her voice and what would be her face. In which, I almost didn't get attentive in my meetings.

I did an over time to finish all of my works. It was past 11 in the evening when I take the lift to the basement. I scanned the place and no one was there at this time. Clicking my car key, I slid inside and manuevered until I get out of the place.

My brows only arched to see the careless woman infront of the building waiting for any cab. Just a seconds, a luxurious car stop infront of her. Curious at what's happening, I stop and parked my car on the side.

I saw the guards alerted as they saw my car parked in front. I glanced at the side mirror to checked some cars behind me. After making sure it was clear, I stormed out, making a loud bang on the door.

I unclasped the button on my sleeves, folded until it reaches my elbow, tucked my hands inside my pocket, planing to go near her.

I witness how she's avoiding the car but it keeps on chasing her what ever happens. I clenched my jaw from watching her be in trouble. And those guards near her won't do something about it.

I was far from them yet I understand what have been happening but the guards only did was to watched them like they feel it is a movie.

A man went out of the car, trying to persue her. But the latter keeps on wiggling herself to get freed from his grasped. I can hear her groans and cries just to make her free.

The moment I saw her tears twinkled in the light, darkness ruled over me, I walked past and went near them. Who ever this man should respect a girl's decision.

“Ms Simson.” I grab her attention and went totally at her.

She was stunned to see me and— like she saw a ghost in me. A fear envelope in her eyes as she change her mood immediately and face the man I don't ever see.

He looks from a wealthy clan with all his get up. He's tall but I am more taller and broader than him. He's too skinny for me to think he is her boyfriend, besides she just got broke up the past week with her long time fiance.

“Let's go, Bill. I'll go with you now!” Without saying a words to me, she left and walks to the other door of the car.
