Who are you really?

"Err— Did you hear what happened to Romeo?"

"No what happened?" Dream asked, wondering what had happened. She is not usually aware of whatever was happening in school, now it's the person close to her.

"He approached the NASTIES and warned them about staying away from you," Erica stated, looking at her.

"What! Why would he do that!?" She exclaimed, he might think that he was trying to make her life easier but it he was actually making her life more complicated.

"From what I heard, after school yesterday he had met them at their favourite spot and he warned them to stay away from you else he was going to do something that you everyone would not like," she explained, cleaning the last speck of dirt on Dream's skirt.

"What everyone would not like? What does he mean by that?" Dream exclaimed, many thoughts were running through her mind.

She chuckled, "Also, when the NASTIES laughed at his threats, his reply shocked me."

    "What did he say?"

"He said and I quote," she mimicked his voice, "if I could follow her for years then who are you to deal with?"

"What!? What could that mean!" exclaimed Dream. She didn't know what to do, whether she should him or not.

"It's all clean now, let's head to class" Erica told her, totally ignoring her question and Dream gave her a faux smile.

    "See you around,"

Dream walked down the hallway with her head lowered, students were chattering but must of them were talking about the issue between Romeo, the NASTIES and Dream. The school was in chaos therefore classes did not start early.

"They were here," Dream whispered as the hallway became silent, indicating that the NASTIES were there.

"Well well well, the ugly flat girl who is going around throwing herself on boys is here!" Emma announced, mockingly making her raise her head to face them.

"Awww...have you heard about what befell your Prince charming?" Elena asked, placing emphasis on the "Prince charming".

"Yes and so?" Dream threw back at them.

"Ohh look she doesn't even feel any remorse for him," Emma faked sympathy.

"Awww... I bet he'll be sad and so heartbroken when he hears this," Justina spoke, dreamily and the gang laughed.

"Enough joking!" Elena ordered and everyone went quiet immediately.

"Why did y'all put false allegations on him!?" Dream questioned, fighting tears that was threatening to spill.

"Why would we lie? Do you know who he really is?" questioned Zara, "I mean you just met him few days ago, you're all over him and you're supporting him blindly!"

Dream was dumbfounded, she was right she had just met him and doesn't know much about him yet she was supporting him.

"Ohh look she can't say anything again—"

"How about you! What do you know about him too?" Dream defended and everyone in the gang laughed, making her look dumb.

"Why were they laughing?, Or did they know him before?, No they did not" she thought.

"Play her the record," ordered Zara.

Emma moved forward with a tape, she pressed a button and Romeo's voice came through,

"I'm warning you today, stay the fuck away Dream or else—"

"Or else what!" It was Elena's voice.

"You wouldn't like what I'm going to do," He seethed, "in fact everyone is not going to like it!"

"What can you do?" questioned Zara.

    "You're gonna see," Romeo replied.

Bella scoffed, "You could play with other people and threaten them but certainly us Romeo, Don't make empty threats,"

Bella's cold voice made Dream shiver. It seemed like it was not all the gang member that confronted him.

"If I could follow Dream up for years then who are you all?" Dream could tell he was smirking while he said that.

"Tch—are you trying to compare us to tht ugly little thing?" Bella asked before scoffing, "I just want to give you this first warning, don't ever compare us to your Juliet!"

    "It's okay Bels, Romeo—"

Emma paused it and went to stand behind her masters,

"Soo—" Elena smirked looking at Dream.

Dream sighed in defeat, it was true but why did Erica not tell me about this?, She thought.

"Are you speechless? Don't know what to say?" Elena mocked and before she could say anything else Dream walked away.

    "That imp—"

"That's okay Emma" interjected Elena, "leave her be, she is so heartbroken,"

Everyone laughed before they turned to go to class.

Dream ran to the girls toilet, crying. Many thoughts were running through her mind again.

"Why does everyone I love leave or get into some trouble? Why just why?" She half yelled, her voice echoing through the little hallway leading to the toilet.

"You're so stupid! Too stupid!" She screamed, hitting her chest and slapping her face.

"You don't deserve love or somebody close to you!" She yanked her hair, "you're destined to be alone! Always alone!"

She fell on the floor crying and hiccupping. Her life was a mess, what was she going to do to save Romeo now?.

He did all that for her, if only he had not met her he would have not confronted them.

She sighed and stood up, facing the sink and mirror. She washed her hand and poured water on her face.

After pouring enough water on her face and calming herself down, she decided to go to class.

Arranging her books properly in her arm she walked together with students to the biology class. She could hear student talking and gossiping about her, some pointing fingers at her.

Dream sighed as tears were brewing up in her eyes, she was now an object of mockery in the whole school.

She sat at the back of the class, her usual spot and tried her best to listen and pay attention to whatever the teacher was teaching.

She was so buried in her thoughts that she didn't notice the teacher walked to stand in front of her,

"Miss Brooks," The teacher called out, jolting her out of her reverie.

    "Yes sir," She answered, scared.

"What happened? Were you thinking of your husband" He asked, wondering what his intelligent back-seater student was thinking about.

"Who would like to date that ugly thing?" commented one of the students and e everyone laughed.

Dream felt like killing herself and just leaving the world so she could have peace, she was tired of life.

"Miss Brooks, why is euglena considered to be a plant and animal" he asked, "it's detention if you can't give an answer,"

Since she had read the topic it was a very easy question for her to answer.

"A euglena is considered to be a plant because it has chloroplast and as an animal because it has the characteristics of an animal example it has flagellum for movement," She answered smoothly.

"You're lucky," He commented before permitting her to sit.

She sighed as she sat down and get continued teaching, life wasn't fair to her all.

Dream attended few more classes with her paying little or no attention. She was currently sitting in the garden eating her lunch with little or no appetite while thinking of what to do.

She heard someone sighed behind the flowers making her startled she dropped the tray on the bench and went around the beautiful sunflower and met Romeo laying on the field. His well chiseled nose facing upward and his pink lips twitching slightly.

She turned and started walking away, thinking that he did not see her, little did she know that he had already seen her.

"Dream!" He called out, walking after her.

She pretended like she did not hear, him and kept walking, hastening her steps.

"Dream please listen to me!" He half yelled, trying to gain her attention.

"Please I won't take your time,"

She turned with tears in her eyes and asked, "who are you really?"
