SCARLETT'S POV

Everyone was happy. Their faces were glowing. And especially Maria's face. Her face had a glow I haven't ever seen before.
My parents were equally happy.
I was wearing the gown Maria chose for me. It was beautiful, pink in colour with shimmer on it.
Pink was never my favourite but still most of the clothes I owned were of pink colour. Strange.
I was in one of the rooms in Maria's house with two stylists along.

It was Maria.Why would she call them?"But Badima...." Xander was going to speak but Maria cut her in between."Xander, they are professional photographers that I've hired. Also, Maria doesn't mind too, I'm sure. You kids should show affection, don't be shy because of us."And with a wink, she left me again in an awkward situation. Okay great! Mom sure knows how to make a situation awkward for me and even make the already awkward situation more awkward. Does that even make sense? I could imagine how my cheeks must have heated up on her words.

SCARLETT'S POV _______________________________________________________________________________________ There were only roses, petals of roses in the tray. And due to fall, they all scattered around. I was confused. There aren't any rings there laying around. Were...were there not any rings? What? What's happening? "No rings!" Molly exclaimed.She looked pleasantly happy at this. "Ohh, no rings means no engagement, right?" She didn't even try to hide the fact how pleasant she is right now. I wanted to punch her face. "No,Molly. What are you saying?" Shelly also fake gasped. These stupid mom- daughter! Ughhhh!! My chest was rising up and down in anger. I took a deep breath to calm myself down. Xander on sensing my condition, squeezed my hand softly as if to assure me nothing is going to happen.
