Chapter three

Tyler's pov

"This is so weird and unnecessary, you sure you did nothing else ty?" Brandon asked me for the twentieth time since I got here 30 minutes ago.

"I didn't do nothing man" I exclaimed

"But this is so unlike Sam " Lucas muttered more to himself but I heard him anyway.

Lucas and Brandon had been my friends since childhood, We were practically brothers.

Before my fame,we were a band called the trio. We would practice every evening after school in my room back in LA. Life was peaceful then, life was real.

As soon as our band started getting recognition Brandon dropped out, he didn't give a specific reason as to why but that did not stop us from being friends. Lucas and I are in the music industry but we're signed under different labels.

We were all doing well in our careers, and Brandon was now a famous Youtuber with millions of fans and subscribers.

They were my family and Mom treated them as such. She had insisted they call her Mom or Sam, and they alternated between both names.

"It won't be that bad! " Brandon chirped. He was always very cheerful and happy.

"What!" I glared at him, I love him but he could say stupid shit at times.

"Yeah! We get to do whatever shit high schoolers do, you guys get breaks to work on new songs so your comeback will be epic! And we get to flex on all those girls who rejected us back then" he concluded

I cracked a smile at his final statement "still thinking about Shannon?" I teased him

"Bruh! I could never forget about Shannon, she was one of the reasons I became gay, that and the fact that I just love big, thick m..."

"That's enough" Lucas cringed but smile nonetheless

I laughed at them both

Brandon was gay. I remember vividly the day he came out to Lucas and I. He had called us over to help him shoot a YouTube video. He sat us both down and said " hey guys, am gay" he had tried to make it as causal as possible but I could tell he was freaking out, scared we might reject him or abandon him.

Lucas replied him just as casually "sure bro" he looked between the both of us and mumbled a "you don't mind" with his head down and his body physically shivering. I moved to the couch he was sitting on and engulfed him in a bear hug, he was crying and Lucas joined in, together we squeezed the life out of him till he tapped out for air.

We had talked and joked into the night and Brandon was now relaxed as he knew we would love and accept him no matter what.

Brandon's parents were not so receiving, they had chased Brandon out of their house and severed ties with him saying that he was a disgrace and an abomination. It took a while for him to get over it but he pulled through.

"Wait we?" I looked at them puzzled

"Of course we! You think we gon' let you go alone" Lucas asked

"Brothers stick together dumbo" Brandon added

"Thanks guys " I replied

"Anytime bro, our love will be forever,  our bond will never be broken and our hearts will.. "

"Okay kill the sappy shit" Lucas interrupted his monologue. Brandon could be extra at times.

"If you guys are there then I guess it won't be that bad"

And two weeks after that I found myself in LA.

And that's how I got here, wait were am I? I looked around and realised I had wondered far from the hallways.

Great! getting lost on my first day. I brought out my phone to call the guys when a group of girls surrounded me, flashing me the biggest smiles ever, they were giggling and squealing.

"Quiet!" Someone shouted and they all fell silent. I heard heels clicking and a blonde pretty looking Barbie doll appeared in front of me. Her face was caked with make-up that could have been used for a whole week and her hair extensions seems abnormal.

"Tyler!" She screeched loudly like a banshee while giggling.

"I'm..  do I know you?" I asked feeling uncomfortable

"Of course silly! I'm Shannon" she continued

"Okay Shannon do you have to talk like that " I inquired

She giggled "you're so funny Tyler, and very hot too" she said trying to put on a seductive look but failed miserably

"Um, Mr Miller the principal sent for you " someone commented from behind me.

I turned around and came face to face with a petite looking girl with dark hair and the brightest blue eyes.

I mentally thanked her for saving me as I made my way to her

"Way to ruin the fun  lame Lexi " Shannon said with so much venom.

With one final glance at them and I made my way over to the girl and we headed down in what I assume is the school hallway and I was right.

"Thanks Lexi" I started

"No prob, I just thought you needed some help so" she replied smiling

"Well thanks, I'm Tyler by the way" I introduced already feeling comfortable with her

"I know, everyone knows" she replied

"I'm Alexa but you can call me Lexi, I'm the school librarian " she stated

"Wait! What! The school librarian?" I exclaimed

She laughed so hard "you should have seen your face! I work at the library as part of my community course" she explained after calming down a bit but the grin evident on her face

"Oh!" I nodded in understanding

"TY!TY!TY!" I looked forward and found Brandon screaming my name and Lucas trying his best to hide away from the stares they were getting

"Ty, we have to get to class" Lucas said when they got to us

Brandon who had stopped screaming my name continued "seems like you've been busy this morning" he wiggled his eyebrows at Lexi and then at me

"Don't get any thoughts, this is Lexi she saved me from a pack of Shannon and her minion " I replied smacking his head

"Lexi as in Alexa May?" Lucas questioned staring directly at her

"Yep that's me" she answered

"You're the same girl whose Dad sold ice cream at the park right?" Lucas continued

"Yeah! You remembered?" She looked directly at him now

"Oh yes I remember you, you had a best friend I can't seem to remember her name but I remember how the both of you shared leftover ice cream to the kids in the neighborhood " Brandon rambled

I now clearly remembered Lexi and her friend. They were inseparable which got me wondering

"Were is she" I asked

Immediately her face fell and she froze

"She passed away " she replied her voice barely a whisper

"Oh I'm sorry " we chorused at once

"No it's fine, I have to get to class now, nice meeting you bye!" She waved and hurried down the hall

"Well I guess we have to get to class" Brandon said

And we made our way to class.
