54. Date Number Two
"Would you like to go to the AIDS Foundation charity auction and gala dinner as my date?" Arthur suddenly asked.
Victory looked up in surprise, her fingers suspended above her tablet as she turned her attention to the attractive CEO seated behind the desk.
They were in his office, finalising some of the details for A. K. Media's Halloween Party which is going to be held in two weeks' time. Victory and her team had shortlisted the venue, theme, guest list and she was there to run them through with Arthur.
Despite enjoying the perks of sleeping with the boss, it's prudent to remember her place at the office.
Besides, Victory didn't want anyone to know of their relationship just yet.
"Can you waltz, Vic?" Arthur continued to ask. This time a mischievous twinkle glinted in his eyes as his lips morphed into a lopsided smile.

Victory waited the whole day for Aaron to update her on Arthur's release. First, she paced around her apartment restlessly. Muttering incoherent words under her breath. And just like that, the very next day Arthur picked up Astor and Susannah from my apartment and took all their belongings with him. He was so confident that I will follow suit that he cleaned up everything in both their rooms, insisting that they won't be coming to visit me as I will be coming to stay with him soon. He even offered me to let him bring my stuff as well but I was adamant for him to wait until after the third date. No mule is as stubborn as a Victory Sinclair. Neither of us backs down, for we have arrived at an impasse. Which is weird because he wants me in his bed and I also want to be in his bed. No surprises there. The only thing holding me back is my insistence at going for the third date, simply because that is what we had agreed upon.
