Who is she?

Eat those and go back to town. You must do your laundry there and you need to study. Your class will start soon." She said while eating hurriedly. She doesn't chew her food properly. She will get an upset stomach on her state.

Something is strange with my mother. She's acting different.

"Wh--" She already cut me off before i could say a word.

"Just get the hell out of here, Artemis. I don't want you here right now! I don't need you here." She said in a plain facial expression. She continue to eat anxiously. What did she just say? How could she say those?

There's something on my throat and my eyes is about to shed tears.

What she just said a while ago is beyond painful.

"Look, Artemis. I just want to be alone. Just Just get the hell out of here. Leave this house immiediately. I packed you some vegetables and eggs.Get those and leave! Just come back on next week or a month? I don't know." She said as she's trying to make me leave. She looks nervous. Her hands tremble and her lips look pale. Her forehead are sweating non stop.

Something is bothering on her mind.

"How c--" She hit the table before i could say what im about to say.

"Please not now. Just leave!" She said while looking at me with the most sharpest eyes that i only witness today in my whole existence.

"Okay." I said while getting up. I'm fuming mad right now. How could she? I didn't finish my breakfast. Who would not lose an appetite.

"I'm going. I will just leave pegasus on the gate." I said while getting the travel bag. I was just wearing my house clothes. I just covered it with an old hoodie. I pick my bag that my mother used to put the vegetables and fresh eggs. I whistled and minute passed i can hear pegasus approaching.

"Art---" She said while chasing me. She look devastated. She realize sooner what she just say to me a while ago.

"How could you ask me to leave and act that way, mother. I didn't do anything. I don't deserve your treatment."  I whisper. I hop on pegasus back before she could grab my hand. Leaving my mother on that state pain me even more. It's too selfish for me to act this way, but i was hurting too. My tears starting to roll on my cheeks continously. I sobbed and screamed in silence to ease the pain a little bit. It's like someone is trying to smash my heart. It breaks my heart in pieces, no in a powder form.

It's the first time that my mother asked me to leave, she even raised her voice to me.

"Hiyaaaaah! Hiyaaah!  Pegasus, How could my mother do that to me." I said while sobbing. I can hear the birds in distance, but it seems they don't sound happy for me. I was holding the travel bag so i couldn't wipe my tears properly. I just closed my eyes for a little time, but pegasus hops unbelievable. Is that possible? Maybe he has a breed or what. 

"Hooooh!" I jumped out. I still feel heavy within. I wipe my tears and stretch my lips to form a fake smile. A sound of the chain can only heard as i was opening it. Where is the other animals? Where's the birds, even butterflies? Where did they go?

"The key is in your pocket pegasus. Just wait for my mother or hop back. I don't know." I walked away and closed the gate. I was not bothered by pegasus since pegasus is a trustworthy horse. He will come back home or mother will pick him. I walked through the woods. Even here there is no presence of any single birds. It's too weird.

"Excuse me, Miss. I got lost and i can't find my way back. Can you help me?" It was a voice of an old lady. It's coming from my back. It's suddenly gave goosebumps on me. I try to ignore it and help her nicely. I wasn't raise like that.

"Sure. I was on my way to the terminal, granny. Are you going to ride a bus or what?" I don't know how to start a conversation with anyone aside from my teacher and mother. I wasn't raise in the crowd.

"On the bus terminal please." She's giving me a smile. It send chills on my spine. It gave me goosebumps once again. Maybe im not used of anyone's smile.

"Are you scared? Don't worry. I get lost while trying to find my pet." She said while walking towards me. She walks slowly, but her feet looks fit. Is it possible?

"She ran away from this part of the trees so i chase her, But you know i can't ran that fast." She said while having a nothing hand gestures.

"Pet?" I asked her confusingly. What kind of pet? Why did it ran over there.

"Yes. My peacock pet." She said proudly.

"A peacock? I haven't see one before." While giving her a smile.  My mood suddenly lift up. Who would not? A peacock. I just read and see a peacock on the books that my teacher used to prepare for me.

"Do you want to see? Here take a look." She pulled the eco bag on her shoulder and opened it widely. She look on me. Maybe she's trying to figure out my reaction.

"Wow! It's really pretty. It's like a size of a crow and has a rainbow sickle feather. I never seen one before." I said in astonishment. I sounded like a kid.

"Can i take picture of it?" I added. I was so fascinated.

"Sure." She said without hesitation.

"Do you want me to help you?" I asked her while we're walking on the woods on our way to terminal. I suddenly forgot about the what happen to me and my mother a while ago.

"No. Thank you for the offer. You seem so kind now." She said while looking on the bushes and trees.

"Pardon?"  I said.

"Nothing. Is this a shortcut from your home to the terminal?" She asked me while pulling some leaves.

"Yes." I answered her politely.

"I see." She looks satisfied on my answer.

Beeeeeep!

"Downtown, Second Trip!" I can hear the bus assistant. We need to hurry.

"We're near. Hurry up!" I said and reach my hands on her.

"It's okay your baggage looks heavy. I don't want to be a burden. Thank you!" She said un-bothered.

"Are you going to ride on that bus?" I asked her just to make sure.

"Yes. On my way home." She answered me.

"Excuse me. Can we still fill in?" I asked the bus assistant.

"Yes. The two of you!" He nodded. We hurry and sat beside each other near the window. I looked at the granny. She looks old, but no one is with her. I remember my mother. She still looks pretty even on her old age. She owned a brows that will envy most of the girls. A tantalizing eyes and a pointed nose. A small pink lips. Maybe when she's still on my age she had a lot of suitor. Who's the lucky guy that become her life time partner?

"He cheated on me." She suddenly utter those words. It sounded like she's mad or she's hiding a grudge.

"Yes?" She looked at me still a smile on her face.

"Huh? A what did you just say?" I asked her again for my assurance. Can she hear my thoughts?

"I didn't say anything. Why? Did you hear something from me?" She said while laughing a little.

"Huh? I clearly heard you utter a "He cheated on me."."  I told her as a matter of fact. She looked at me with a concern facial expression.

"Did you just keep your breakfast, darling?" She said while she touch my cheeks gently. Her touch feels different it seems that something within me wanted to wake up. Her skin feels different. What the hell is that?

"Stop on that empty bus stop,  please." She said loudly to the bus assistant whose standing on the door.

"Are you sure? It's an abandoned bus stop." It was the bus assistant. The bus stop looks horrible as if it was abandoned for a long time.

"Yes." She said without any hesitation.

"Stop." It was the bus assistant asked the bus driver to stop. Don't tell me they would let the old woman down? As the bus stops she suddenly got up. I looked around and was a bit surprise. It was an abandoned bus stop and the structures seems really old. I didn't notice this. This was my first time noticed this place. Maybe i was asleep when we passed here. I just passed here twice ever since. The bench looks really old and it looks like termite already inherit the whole woods. The roof looks like in an ancient times that used by a nobel family that's what i've read and see on my personal books. Magazine and old newspaper scattered everywhere. Stamp of different papers on the walls are already brown indication that they are already stayed there for a long time exposed in the heat of the sun and rain. It's a rectangular bus stop with a bench inside. A glass wall on every corner and a glass door. The quality of the glass seems old fashioned not like those in the city. It was filled with tall trees that has beautiful leaves with a different colors,  but red and orange stand out the most. The ambiance of the place are kinda creepy.

"I'll see you next time, Artemis." She said while stepping down the bus.

"Huh?" I said in confusion.
