Chapter Five

The sky was already dark but here I am, standing in front of our school gate.

The only thing that lights up the surroundings are the lamp posts. It's still raining but it doesn't matter. In fact, it helps me to sneak because the guards won't hear my footsteps.

I'm wearing my raincoat and rain boots because the rain is heavy. It will be hard if I brought an umbrella.

I slowly climb the gate and landed smoothly. I know I shouldn't tip-toe and yet I did. This is nerve-wracking! I'm scared I might be caught.

I didn't bother to bring a flashlight. I'm relying on my 20/20 vision.

When I saw a guard walking towards my direction, I immediately hide at the janitor's room beside me. I almost slipped because I accidentally stepped on the wet rug.

Oh my gosh, Hikari! Stop being so dumb!

I looked at the small window and went out when I saw the guard passed.

I walked towards the security office but I saw another guard walking on my direction
