Chapter 33

Maximaze Park

I sliced the neck of the person in front of me. As we started fighting, a lot of blood scattered on the ground and some of it splashed on my face. There were quite a few of them, so the fighting would take a while.

As I swung the katana and it whistled sharply, dancing so gracefully on the surface yet like a rose, touching it was a trap. Those elegant moves of my weapon caused people to die in a gruesome way. I never thought of this, except the nightmares that made me keep remembering my bloody past. These high-pitched noises entering my ears whilst their blades cut through the air were making me . . . vulnerable—a weak sheep who knew nothing but to worry about something she should’ve forgotten a long time ago.

An arrow passed beside my head.
