Chapter 69
I’m not sure how our sweet, wholesome interaction last night ended up to a silent, awkward drive to the office. I remembered how we even laughed and talked about nonsense shits last night over pasta and hot chocolates. The television was on but we’re way engrossed and entertained with each other’s company.
We went to bed nearly eleven, and he kissed me twice on the temple after walking me to the guest room. And in the morning, we couldn’t look at each other’s eyes anymore. Breakfast was awfully awkward! Every attempt to start a conversation was a massive failure.
He parked the car to his usual spot. He’d mostly open the door for me… but since we’re not in a very nice ambiance, I assisted myself out.
