I scooped a spoonful of cereal and shoved it in my mouth, merely tasting its sweetness 'cause my head and attention were focused to somewhere else.

After another spoon, my eyes once again darted back to my door. It's nearly ten in the evening! What's taking him so long? I thought he'd be here earlier than he was yesterday. Now what?!

I rolled my eyes in irritation before dropping my cereal bowl on the center table of my living room. Whatever! It's not like it is his obligation to come here every night to pay my ass a pitiful visit. Who am I anyway? I'm just a friend!

A friend...

I giggled on my seat, still utterly amused remembering his friendship proposal last night. I couldn't believe we can actually be something else other than enemies!

And since I'm pathetic and I have no other friends right now, who am I to decline his offer? Even if his concern and kindness were out of pity, I'd gladly take out. I am in a very desperate position right now for someone else's company.
