Chapter Three

Alexandria felt kind of guilty about what she did. She knew she had gone too far by breaking his windscreen but it was his fault.

He called her foolish for crying out loud, she couldn't contain her anger so she smashed his windscreen. He was a very rude man.

'But a handsome one,' her inner mind stated. She couldn't believe she just thought that.

"Shut up," she said smacking her face lightly. She could feel the redness and hotness of her face. She knew she looked like a tomato right now.

She couldn't help but feel guilty for what she did to his car but it was his fault for calling her talkative.

"It's his fault..," she mumbled as she got in the car.

She checked the time on her phone and she couldn't help but feel angry again. It was already noon, she couldn't believe they had argued till noon and now she was late for work.

"Asshole..he made me late for work," she groaned as she continued to drive. She couldn't go back home because her boss would kill her with complaints. She was already fed up with working with him but she needed her job, she couldn't afford to lose her job at least not now that Stacy was not working.

She pulled into the parking lot and parked her car in her usual spot. She picked up her bag and got out of the car.

"Good afternoon, Mr. Salvador," she greeted the old guard whom she had grown quite fond of. Mr. Salvador was one of the people who didn't make her feel bored whenever she was at work. She would sometimes have lunch with him during lunch break and that was when her creepy boss wasn't around.

"Good afternoon Andria," Mr. Salvador answered. He was quite fond of calling her 'Andria', he never wanted to call her 'Alex' or 'Alexa', so he called her 'Andria' instead.

"You're late, your boss is gonna vent out all of his anger on you, Andria," the old man warned in a whisper. The old man was also afraid of Peter Petrakis, her boss.

"Yeah, I know, an idiot made me late," she mumbled looking away from the old man.

"Uh...what do you mean?" the old man asked her, his black her looked at her with curiosity.

"Uh....nothing, Mr. Salvador...I better go before Mr. Petrakis killed him," she said and the man nodded.

She went into the big building and she saw everyone rushing. She almost bumped into someone and the person didn't even bother to say sorry.

"What the hell is going on?" she asked herself. She shrugged her shoulders and went towards the managing department, the elevator wasn't working so she used the stairs.

She eventually got there and she walked towards a door.'Managing Director "Peter Petrakis" ', the tag on the door said.

'It's time to face Mr. Creepy,' she sighed inwardly. Taking a deep breath, she opened the door to find Mr. Petrakis on the phone.

"Hello sir, I'm so sorry.....I'll ta..ke care of iii..it sir," he stuttered.

'Oh my ....the tables have turned,' she grinned inwardly as she folded her arms. She had never seen her boss shaking and stuttering before. He looked very pale like he was being threatened over the phone.

She stifled a laugh when she saw him. He looked like he had just drunk a glass of vinegar because of the sour expression on his face.

"Okay,s...it, I'll make sure it gets done, I'm so sorry sir," he said to the person on the other line.

Alexandria wanted to applaud the person on the other line for making her Almighty boss like this. She was told no one could make her boss feel like this except the big boss, the CEO of Cross Investment Company but she had never seen him.

'Could it be him?' she asked inwardly.

"Miss Akins, I think you need to go to explain a lot of things," her boss's cold voice snapped her out of her thoughts.

"I'm so sorry, sir, I had a flat tire," she lied.

'Oh God, if you can hear me, please save me from this man,' she begged inwardly, she wasn't ready to lose her job.

"How is that any of my business?!," Mr. Petrakis yelled at her. Alexandria flinched when she heard his scream.

'Fool.....I'm gonna break your head if you yell at me again,' she threatened him inwardly.

If she had the chance, she would have put chilly in his coffee a long time ago but she couldn't because he was her boss, an irritating man.

"I'm sorry sir," she said in a whisper but she wanted to punch him.

"You know, I gave you a very good offer but you refused my generosity," he said looking at her with his mischievous and wicked green eyes.

She suddenly felt disgusted, he had once asked her to steal files from the vice president's office and she refused, that was why he treated her like dirt.

'How dare he bring up that matter again?' she growled inwardly.

"You could be making millions if you did what I asked you to," he said again.

This man was getting on her nerves but she quickly quenched her anger, she knew he was just waiting for her to make a mistake so he could get rid of her.

"I'm sorry for coming late to work but that doesn't change my decision," she said in a harsh tone.

"Too bad, you would've earned a lot," he said shaking his head.

"Excuse me, sir, I would like to get back to work," she said as she went out of the office and sat on her chair.

Meanwhile, in the office, her boss laughed like a madman and slammed his hands on the table.

"How dare you refuse me Alexandria... I'm gonna make you one of my puppets very soon, you'll see," he threatened.
