Chapter 84: Day 36 (night)
With a terse nod in Daechir’s direction, Sinn led the way out of the library, hyperaware that Yoanna was right behind him. She didn’t trust him, but time was of the essence and if he was willing to give her something that could help Dan’s pack, Sinn was willing to bend a little. From his reaction to the flurry of petals, she had already guessed that whatever he had planned involved the tunnel beneath them but, she just couldn’t work out how. She followed him though, ignoring all the curious stares as he led the way down and through where most of the vampire’s still preferred to spend the daytime until they were standing where the main part of it began. He eyed her curiously as they came to a halt, a look in his green eyes that screamed that he had expected something more off her before they got there. Ella fought down a yawn and tried to gain some semblance of control over her hair as she shuffled her way into the vast kitchen. The smells and sounds of home settled around them as they completed their step through the portal through to the other side. Sinn had thought that everyone would have moved through but they were still there, waiting. As she waited for the traffic lights to change, Yoanna reached out and turned off the radio with a frustrated jab of her finger. Silence fell over the interior of the car while she focussed on the beat of the town she was searching instead of the beat of the music.Carefully adjusting her sunglasses to cut down on the headlight glare from the other cars, she looked surreptitiously at the drivers and occupants of the few vehicles around hers.
