Verena raised her brow as Azazel walked freely around the chamber.
"So you've come here to perform your obligations as a husband?"
Her cheeks flushed slightly as he turned his head toward her and nodded with a genuine smile, which caught her off guard.
"Well, I suppose that's understandable."
Azazel chuckled as he approached her.
"As I stated in my letter, I was successful in persuading the twins to assist us."
Verena smiled back at him.
"I have already read it."
"Praise me."
Verena looks at him questioningly as Azazel's cheeks flushed, and he scratches the back of his head shyly as he averted his gaze.
