ASKING FOR FORGIVENESS

Cassandra freezes as she is standing in front of us, squeezing her fingers. It appears that she is nervous, which is awkward. I have never seen her afraid in front of us; she always acts arrogantly.

"Sorry guys, I didn't mean to bother your dinner. It just so happens that we have made reservations at the same restaurant," she said politely. I guess it's safe to say that we were shocked at how she acted, calm and pleasant. There was no trace of sarcasm on her face, and even her choice of words seemed different.

"That's not a problem for us Cassy, we don't own this restaurant," I said when no one bothered to answer.
