Chapter 26

After the meeting, everyone left one after another. They did not dare associate themselves with Lyne. 

Lyne sat on her chair, crushed. She left like her will to live had been destroyed. She knew that her future has been totally destroyed as she will never find a well paying job after leaving Gulf Financial Group. Let alone a well paying job, even the chances of finding a job were slim.

She looked at Velma who was busy arranging the documents and an idea struck her mind. She has been found out and there was no escape route, she should just bow her head apologise. What if Velma was gracious enough and forgave her, then she will retain her job and deal with the rest later.

After waiting for everyone to leave, she approached Velma.

"Velma, I'm truly sorry for what I did to you. I was blinded by jealousy and hatred that I ended up doing things that harmed you and the company. Can you help me talk to the president and see if he can retract his words." Lyne
