“ Mate? ” I gasp in surprise, more like horror. “ Olivia is your mate?”
Matthew takes a sharp breath and exhales softly. “ I should have told you earlier. The day she attacked me and knocked me down, I knew she was my mate…That’s why I didn’t fight back as hard. ”
“ But she wanted to kill you. Definitely. ” I whisper, the feeling of horror still not ready to leave me.
