“ Is she hurt, Alpha? Do you want me to bring Lily? ” Selvia stops Cain and me on the way to his room.
I keep my head down, unable to meet anyone’s eyes. Still, I can’t ignore the hint of worry in her voice, in her tone.
“ She will be alright. ” Cain assures her and starts dragging me up the stairs.
I glance at Selvia regretfully and gulp. She shoots me a worried look which makes me look away.
Xavier must have told her everything through their link.
I don’t deserve her worry. It’s supposed to be for the one wolf I hurt just now.
Cain takes me to his room and makes me sit down on his bed. I wait for his outburst, for the scolding he is going to throw my way because I didn’t listen to him.
