“ I care about you. Give me a chance, Miracle. ” He rasps in my ear, sending chills down my spine.
The sincerity of his words still startles me. I don’t know how to reply to that.
“ Wanna take a bath? ” I blurt out, changing the topic.
He leans a little away and his face comes into my view. His silver grey orbs peer into my eyes, finding the answer I failed to provide him in words.
Then, a lazy smile slowly tugs at the corner of his lips and he nods his head.

Cain gets away from me and stands by the bed while I lay there, breathing deeply for a moment.
