“Do you really hate me so much now?”

The question Kain proposed to me had my heart pounding and aching so much that I felt dizzy and sick. Of course, I didn’t hate Kain! The problem wasn’t because I hated him, quite the opposite in fact! It was because I loved him so deeply, so hard, that it hurts to even see his face or hear his voice.

“Sir, that isn’t helping at all. You’re just making him feel even more afraid,” Drake chided softly. “You don’t hate the boss, do you, Liam?” He then asked, his voice much softer. I shook my head slowly but refused to come out of my scrunched up position on the padded bench of the booth.
