Chapter 2

Senator Randall alighted from his car accompanied by twelve hefty men in black who were fully armed.

“ What is going on here? ”. He asks, seeing his daughter in a commotion with his men. Levi took a few steps backward, signaling to his men to return to their post.

“ Did you ask these animals to stop me from leaving? ”.

“ Come on, dear, it's good to see you awake and talking, but that doesn't mean you should insult those who try to keep us safe”.

“ Who cares about what they do? All I know is that you should advise them not to stop me next time, else it will not be funny! ”.

“ Relax, dear, you do not have to be so rigid”. Senator Randall spoke as he wrap his arm around her shoulder.

“ You don't have to distress yourself any longer, I found you a suitable bodyguard, his name is Kelvin, and he served twice in the army, so he is really capable”.

Elena stares at the masculine man in front of her, who has an intimidating height. Having felt contented after staring at him for a while, she hissed and walks away from the group of men.

“ She is just a kid, she will come around”. Senator Randall explained to her new bodyguard, who wasn't interested in that at all.

Elena did not bother trying to leave the house for days, although she felt like she was going to suffocate in there, she did not attempt.

A month was gone and Hayley thought that it was time she visited her friend, hoping she was ready to get back to work.

“ Look who finally decided to visit! ”. Elena acclaimed while walking down the stairs after being told that she had a visitor in the visitors' living room.

“ Elena dear! ”. Hayley called out as she rushed out to her and embraced her tightly.

“ Don't hug me as you miss me, you did not visit me for an entire month”.

“ I am sorry, dear, you were in mourning and your dad requested that I needed to give you some space to grieve”.

“ He said that! I can not believe that man! ”.

“ Cut the old man some slack, you are all he's got left”.

“ Indeed! ”. They both sat down while Janet came forward with a glass of juice.

“ I have missed you so much, Elena, how are you feeling? ”.

Hayley inquired as she pouted out her small pink lips, she has a fair long face that suited her lips.

“ I have missed you too, Harley, how is everyone at work? ”.

“ They are all fine, but they miss you so much, that is the more reason I am here”.

Elena scoffs as she got on her feet and headed to the bar.

“ I am not coming back to work again, I meant it when I told you that day I lost my mom”.

“ For how long, Elena, will you continue being a shadow of yourself? ”.

“ I am fine! I will get a degree in something else, but I am never cooking again”.

“ That is not what she would want! ”.

“ You do not know that Hayley, I was so obsessed with cooking that nothing else mattered to me, so I failed to see the red light in front of me”.

Hayley placed the glass of juice on the table beside her and followed Elena over to the bar

“ An accident happened, it was a miracle that you survived, and you are supposed to be living your life to the fullest, doing the things you love the most, living well, and being happy because your mother did not take your place just so you can waste it away in here! ”.

“ I am sorry Harley, but I am never being a chef again, it scares me so much right now, that even the thought of holding a spoon makes my heart skip”.

Elena wipes the tears that were now flowing through her tender face as Harley tucked her into her arms.

“ I am so sorry, dear, I know that it is difficult, but you need to be strong”. It felt like Hayley's words were all she needed to break down in tears, and Hayley never ceased consoling her.

Hayley left the house after Elena fell asleep and when she woke up, she decided it was time she went out for some shopping.

Kelvin drove her to the mall, he made sure his gun was fully armed before leaving the house.

Elena felt so irritated having him follow her behind the entire mall.

“ Don't you think you should stop following me, I mean it is not like I am going to run away”.

“ I am sorry, ma. But I must keep you safe”.

“ Indeed! I need some space to breathe, so if you do not mind, move away”.

“ I am sorry, ma, but I can't”. He rebuked with his head now low and not expecting the next action she took.

Elena raised her right hand, and it landed roughly on his cheek, causing him to b startled.

He lifts his head to stare at the only woman who has ever had the nerve to slap him, not certain what his next line of action should be.

“ I believe that should be enough to put your brain in order, move away from my sight, I require some air”.

She yelled, drawing the attention of a few people in the mall. Kelvin, not wanting to cause a scene, steps away from her as far as possible.

Elena finally heaved a sigh of relief and continue shopping, but currently, she realized he was watching, she sneaked out through the next exit.

Sneaking out through the supplementary exit, she was lucky enough to have seen a cab driving towards her and hurriedly hop into it.

When Kelvin realized that she had gone missing, he knew that this job was over for him, but hoped that she did not get hurt so as not to end up in jail.

He kept on searching for the entire mall for her and when it was proving difficult, he asked the security at the mall for a video of the CCTV.

Elena felt alive again the moment she was at the club, the bouncer at the door instantly pave the way the moment his eyes met her.

The loud music emanating from the club could be heard from across the street, pole girls were dancing stripped and Elena couldn't stop drinking.

After some hours gone, she had lost count of how many shots she had taken, and that was when a stranger came over to the table.

“ Elena! ”. The stranger called, offering himself a seat close to her, it was then she realized that he wasn't a stranger.

“ Oh…. Look, it is you, Eliot. ”. She giggles so loud as she spoke, her cheek now flutters red.

“ Your dad called to know if I had seen you that you had gone missing earlier today from the mall and I knew that you had to be here”.

“ Yeah… It's fun here, right? ”.

“ Yes, but you should have called me if you wanted to have some fun, it is dangerous being here alone”.

“ Uhh…. You sound like the rest of them, come on, have some drink and loosen up”.

Elena exclaimed, presenting a shot filled with liquor to him, which he accepted and quickly gulp it down his throat.

“ Yeah. That is the mood we are referring to”.

“Let's leave, your dad is worried ”.

“ Who cares. He has Aunt Freya to warm his bed at night, while I get to sleep alone”.

She sobs lightly, trying to keep her eyes open, which was proving difficult.

“ You are drunk Elena, now get up. ”. He hauls her up to her feet, but she places her lips on his, kissing him the moment she was on her feet.

She kisses him softly and then roughly until she bites his lower lip as he winces in pain.

“ Ooh…. Did I just do that, I am sorry about that ”? She giggles loudly after apologizing.

“ You are so stubborn, fine, I will carry you”.

“ No… I want you, I have missed you so much, I missed your arm creasing every part of my body”.

She lifts his hand, letting it rest on her chest as a soft moan escapes her lips.

“ Come on Eliot, there are rooms upstairs, take me up there and make me feel like a woman”.

“ I am sorry Elena, it's late and your dad is so worried about you, as much as I would love to do that to you, I can't right now”.

She opened her mouth to speak, but he had lifted her, carrying her in his arms out of the club, and only put her down when he got to his car.

He helped her safely get into his car before turning over to the driver's side, but with the wink he got in, she got both her hands around his chest, finding its way to his bare chest.

Eliot was going to stop her, but her right hand had drifted down to his pants, he groans softly the instant her hand met his rigid part.

“ Elena... No, you have to stop! ” he barely spoke but her hands had gone deeper, pulling his pant down to get a better view.

Eliot could no longer continue being a gentleman as he clasped her head and kiss her fiercely.
