FIGHTING FIRE WITH WATER.

Arriving back home, Adam was feeling really exhausted, he drove for quite a long time today to different locations and the last place he took his boss to was the casino. He watched her as she sat with her clients, pouring drinks for them while they placed their bet, their hands ceasing her thighs from time to time and yet she didn't mind, all she needed was the money. For him she was the most disgusted human he has ever met.

“ Adam! You are back!”

Avril called while Claudia who was lying on the tiny couch at the living room stretch herself as she stood up, a weak smile on her face on seeing him.

“ You are back!  That woman must have really stressed the life out of you"

She complained.

“ Why are you still here Claudia, it almost 2am and you are fully aware you have to be at work early right? Besides that couch is too tiny and might cause your back to ache!!”

He grumbled. She liked that about him, the way he always cared for her made her heart flutters.

“ Am fine! I just needed to hear how your first day at NATEL was and if there is anything you would like me to report to my boss tomorrow”

“ Avril! Go to your room, it late”

He ordered as Avril obliged and his attention was now focus on Claudia.

“ Claudia you are my best friend, and I can't lie to you, I have to be sincere with you, I don't think I will be able to fulfill your boss's wish”

Adam slowly explain as she narrow her brow, a slight frown on her face.

“ Why is that Adam?"

“ Miss Natash! Have never seen anyone as heartless as her, for you to make someone love you, you have to At least respect them, but all I feel for her is deep hatred!”

“ Adam! You are not to fall in love with her, all you need to do is make her love you, long enough to tell you all her secret”

“ You can't make a person fall for you if you can't even look them in the eyes and believe me, that woman I spent my whole day with is not capable of loving!'

He complained as she chuckle.

“ Adam every woman is capable of love, you just need to find that soft part. You just have to try, take a look at mother at the hospital, look at Avril, soon she needs to go to college, you don't want her to end up a drop out just like you, also take a look at this house, do you want to spend your whole life here, living a life of the street?”

Even as she explained, her eyes were filled with surge of emotions, she badly needed Adam to stand on his feet for one particular reason was so they could both start a family of their own.

“ I get the point Claudia, it just so hard, but I will keep trying. I owe you everything Claudia, you have been more than a friend to me, you have been a sister, thank you so much”

Hearing him say those words, her cheeks flutter red for reasons she couldn't comprehend as she playfully pinch him.

Natash arrived at the office the next day wearing a red halter neck top and a black slit skirt, they were tight on her body and presented her cleavage in the right way. Natash is wearing a gold wrist watch and a gold necklace, today she applied a very light makeup that could barely be seen. Walking into the conference Hall, her four most trusted men were waiting for her. Robert who she met first and the hands behind the computer, Derrick the brain of the company, she had met Derrick when she still had nothing, he was robbed and beaten and was at the point of death when Natash found him, she had nothing yet she took him in, treated him and fought so hard to feed both Robert and Derrick. While Kyle and Oliver were in charge of all the dirty works, their works are always swift, clean and leaves no trace behind, they are both identical twin and had tried to steal from Natash when she was still working as a serving girl, Natash despite a girl, fought them hard, the next day a man had tried to rape her at the bar, while struggling for her life, she broke a bottle and stabbed him, but didn't expect it will cost him his life which it did, she was scared and confuse, fear of going to jail gripped her but then the twin walked into the bar and in a swift seconds, they handled the corpse neatly leaving no trace, ever since then, she was indebted to them and will always come to their aid whenever they needed it, the bound she shared between these four is very strong and despite all the effort Mrs. Cruz made in swaying just one of them to her side, all her effort were futile.

“ What do we have today?"

Natash ask the moment she stepped in to conference room. It dark inside and the only form of light were coming from the gadget in the room. The whole wall was filled with live feed from all their private monitoring footage.

“  Welcome Boss!”

They greeted in unison.

“ Senator Meyer just bought five percent of our shares from the casino”

Robert explained sitting across the table, a computer in front of him and his fingers working on it.

“ What!! How is that possible?"

“ He was able to purchase them through an alliance account”

Robert explained further 

“ Robert! How could something like that walk past you! That was your job, you let one of our biggest enemies infiltrate our company on your watch”

“ Am sorry Boss! Have been really busy secretly buying out the shares from MAXIS CASINO, am sorry!!”

He pleased with those dark brown eyes biting the lower of his lip, Natash sigh pacing around the room while everyone was silent.

“ Derrick what do you suggest?”

“ First he passed a bill to shut down the casino and now he is buying our shares, I say we use his own card against him! First Robert you have to find a way for us to proof that account belongs to him and then present it to the Senate, that will stop the passing of the bill but it doesn't take away his shares”

Derrick explained.

“ The most important thing right now is buying away that shares from him, the longer he stays on our board, then he is one step to destroying us!!”

Natash press her lips together unable to stand still as she kept pacing around.

“ Boss! I think we need to take it one at a time, let stop the bill first then we can figure out a way to get that shares back!!"

Derrick stop, his thought roaming around.

“ Okay but I need you to keep an eye on him, Robert finds out who he is meeting. He is coming out strong at us, he definitely has a backup!!"

“ I think so too!"

Kyle chipped in while Oliver nodded in affirmation.

“ Okay! Next is the anniversary of our company, Oliver make sure the guest list is approved by you, Robert nothing, I repeat nothing should pass you these time around, everything needs to be perfect!!”

“ Yes boss!”

They both answered in unison.

“ That will be all for now, Robert! Let go for breakfast!”

“ Yes boss!"

As she walks out, her step are stylish and precise, no one would believe that seven years ago, these lady who was just 24years old was on the street eating from the gutters, now she walks boldly her head held up high.

Adam was already waiting in front of the car, and as she walked towards him, he rushed over opening the back door for her. She slide in while Robert goes through the other side and Adam drove off.

A reservation was always made for Natash at ROSFIL RESTAURANT, and like an addict, she would always take potatoes and hamburgers. That was an awful choice of breakfast for someone of her caliber, but to her, there was a meaning attached to that particular breakfast.

“ I can't wait to see the day you change your breakfast!"

Robert commented while the meal was served.

“ Why would I change the menu when I enjoy it and never get tired of it”

There is a playful smirk on her face, it was unusual, and even as Adam watched them from the window, he was picking up a few things about her.

“ So boss! After the anniversary, don't you think you should be launching a new cloth line?"

“ I taught of that, but there is just so much now and I don't think we have the fund for that. How much shares have you been able to purchase from MAXIS CASINO?”

“ Ten percent!!"

He replied as she stare at him, her mouth wide open.

“ Wow!! How do you do it?!! I can't wait to see Mrs. Cruz's face when she finds out?”

Even as she spoke, there was not even a hint of smile on her face, instead her mouth felt bitter at the mention of Mrs. Cruz

“ Yeah, but boss, don't you think she has been too quiet these few days?"

Robert suggested.
