37. Party

I woke up to the birds chirping at some distance. Sitting straight up I noticed the surrounding around me. The great tree standing near me. All the flowers looking beautiful like ever.

It was the meadow. What was I doing here? Again.

I look and notice Damien was not anywhere near in sight. Getting up, I knew where I would find him. Where I had found him before.

I reached the end of the meadow and as expected saw Damien standing there with his back turned to me. He was on his phone. Just as I remember. I reached out for him and put my hand on his shoulder.

He turns around while slipping the phone into his pocket. A stone-cold expression on his face.
