"We didn't pack enough food. There were wild boars and even wolves in the forest, which would suffice. Hunting them ought to be possible." I explained.

Gordon cocked his chin to one side. "You mean, Young Master?"

"Yes, we're going hunting."

I stood up, ignoring the people's stares. "I am not responsible for the people of the village. I am not, however, a demon. I can't just leave them to die."

I yelled. "All guards, disperse and scour the forest for food, kill any animals you see. We'll go to the village and aid the dying villagers."

"You have an order."

Despite their apparent reluctance, the guards began to spread out while carrying their weapons. I said, "You lads are helping too," as I turned to face the group of villagers. "Go assist my guards after you've finished eating. In this world, there is no such thing as a free lunch."

The kids grinned and nodded while clenching their fists.

I then addressed Jack, their leader, who was a young boy. "Give me directions to the village."
