Suddenly I feel arms snaking around my waist. “Gotcha!!” Alexei smirks as he lifts me up, making me stand on the bench. “Hey shorty!” I laugh looking down on him and jump into his arms. “What are you guys doing?” He asks, eying the tequila and shot glasses on the table.
“We were just celebrating their mate bond and our win. You wanna join?” I smile and he looks around, like he is looking for someone. “Sure, just gotta check in with Anatoli and his mate Tarja. You believe that Anatoli hooked on a girl.” He shakes his head, a look of disbelieve crossing his face.

ADRIANAThe next morning I wake up feeling satisfied, the hangover isn’t to bad and goddess Alexei really put his money where his mouth is. ALEXIS I turn on my hind legs and mid stride tendrils of the fog lick and curl around my paws. The fog feels cold, so cold to my fur, it penetrates my muscles, reaches my bones. ADRIANA I twist and turn, but I can’t get into a good position. I try to turn on my side but something is limiting my range of motion, or someone. My whole side is warm and it sparkles, the air around me smells like sweet cardamon, black pepper and some hints of cedar wood. I open my eyes and look through the corner of my eye to the man beside me, softly snoring and lost in a deep sleep. I struggle to remember who he is and why I feel so at ease laying beside him.
