Not All Nice Looking Boys Are Actually Good

Sporting a headache, Diana woke up in the morning. She dreamt of Lucas for the whole night, burning her from head to toe.

She had dark circles in her eyes when she got up to get herself ready.

That was the first time she dreamt of a man. When she was with Henry, she never even entertained the thought of doing it with him. He looked like a nice guy and it was hard for her to imagine doing anything with him. Of course, when she found out that even nice-looking guys are cheaters, she instantly felt disgusted.

That was a rude awakening for her. Not all nice-looking boys are actually good. She should have followed her instinct not to agree to be his girlfriend instead of letting other people's opinions influence her. That incident taught her to listen to her gut.

Just like that previous night. Her eyes were drawn to Lucas even when insults were hurled at her. She felt in her gut that he's not a bad man. He didn't take advantage of her when he took her to the apartment. Her opinion of him became more favorable.

Checking her phone, there were messages for her from her mom Vanessa, telling her to free up the 8th of April, 2 months from now. Apart from that, there were no other messages.

She was slightly disappointed that Lucas didn't message her. 'What did I expect? Didn't I say that I won't take his words to heart?'

That was the first time she willingly gave her Chatify account. Before, the men courting her were able to obtain it from other acquaintances.

Looks like that will be the last time then. She shook it off and got ready for work.

Today is the first day of her internship at Hopton Research Institute. She will be working there as a Medical Laboratory Technician. She put on a Scrub Suit and fixed her hair in a tight bun. Her face was free of makeup, save for a rosy lip tint.

Picking up her pace, she got down from her apartment and took the taxi.

She arrived just a little early at work and the Supervisor introduced himself to her immediately.

"This is your ID. I need you to register your fingerprint for clocking in." Supervisor Bryan Cook instructed.

"Thank you." Wearing the ID, she followed the manager's instructions and finished clocking in.

The manager showed her the facility, being especially friendly.

"By the way, do you have a boyfriend?" Bryan asked. A mischievous grin plastered on his face.

Diana was taken aback by the sudden personal question.

"Just wondering if somebody would try to send flowers over, it's really not ideal for our workplace, given that we are dealing with samples here." Bryan excused.

"Oh. No. Flowers won't be sent here for me." Diana replied, vaguely.

"Oh. That's good then. Alright, I'll introduce you to your coworkers then you can start working." Bryan smiled and led her to the laboratory.

He clapped his hands getting everyone's attention.

"Everyone, we have a new intern, she graduated from Henhall University." Bryan began.

"Good morning. I am Diana Winchester. I'll be joining you from today. I look forward to working with everyone." Diana introduced herself.

One by one, the lab technicians got up to introduce themselves and shake her hand. Jeremy Maguire, Ted Lupton, and Jonathan Frasier shook her hand eagerly. They could see that Diana is obviously the prettiest girl they've met.

"Hi, Diana. You can call me Clara." Clara Holt smiled. The rest of the women Michelle Rivers, and Alicia Bexley also introduced themselves.

Diana politely greeted each one of them then put away her things.

She quietly went about her work.

Hopton Research Institute is connected to Hopton Hospital which makes it easier for doctors to order laboratory tests for their patients.

Diana has routinely entered the hospital to draw blood and other samples and test it in the laboratory.

In a short time, she was able to create her own systematic routine which lets her finish tasks right on time.

The doctors and nurses in Hopton hospital were impressed at how quickly they got the results and without errors.

The men in the laboratory, especially Bryan were impressed at her skills. She's only an intern and yet she showed skills that people take years to master. But more that, he was mesmerized by Diana's beauty.

She was dressed so simply but one could imagine perky breasts that hid inside. Her curves were just right. 'How it would feel to wrapped his arms around her and caress her skin.' Bryan flashed Diana a heated look.

"She really is amazing. Not only is she gorgeous, but she's also even skilled." Jeremy praised Diana while he was having a lunch break with Ted.

"I heard she is top of their class. My sister's friend goes to the same University. She told my sister before that their Senior was a beautiful and smart girl. She was really famous even to the girls." Ted shared. He had taken a snapshot of Diana and posted it in his story. His sister's friend was using his sister's phone to take pictures when the notification of a story popped up.

"I could see that she is the Campus Queen," Jeremy said, pensively. He already expected for her to become popular at the Research Institute. He wouldn't even be surprised if the guys at the hospital would come to know about her since they had to work with them every time they need to get specimens.

"I won't even be surprised if she'll become the Institute's Queen." Ted grinned. He stared at Diana with a look of admiration. He was looking at the overall picture. Diana's beauty combined with her intellect was really admirable.

"This girl is already making these idiots lose their mind," Clara commented when she overheard Jeremy and Ted's conversation.

"The first day of work and she's already trying too hard." Michelle slammed her cup on the table. She gritted her teeth in displeasure.

"They're already naming her the Institute's Queen," Alicia added, resting her arms on the table and cupping her face with both hands.

"Tch. Impossible." Clara frowned.

No one can replace her. Clara thought.

She was here first. To think a newbie could replace her was just plain ridiculous.
