A part of her was scared for his safety and the other part of her wanted to help. She wasn't a ninja or someone who had skills in self-defence. Her helplessness was adding to her headache. These little rustling sounds were echoing in the silent alley. Her breaths violated the self-control of keeping their pace and rather turned ragged. She clutched her chest when she heard a harsh slam into the floor and the running in the puddle. Pangs of fear were twisting her nerves concerning Damon's safety. For an unforeseen reason she was relying on the thought of being saved by him but she hated the idea of him being hurt in the process.
