I was cocooned like a drenched cat under the dense comforters yet my shivers never came to a halt. My heart struggled to ease the growing uneasiness of the night. The long night exhausted my mental composition. Invisible shackles were drawing me into a memory lane I didn't want to step in. My sleep was lost in the vortex of thoughts throwing random memories along distant corners. The loud earth-shattering thunder took my sleep away and I was shivering in fear. I hate thunder just like how I hate loud people. The bad days I had with my grandparents stirred memories of the days I don't ever wanna recall.
