"Sometimes I still sew dresses. I guess old habits die hard."
"How much?" I asked. Jakob looked at me before turning his attention to the wardrobe.
Para bang pumipili ito ng damit, at ilang sandali nga lang, may inilabas itong skin-tone dress that had little yellow and white flowers on it.
"This dress will surely suit you better," he said and handed me the dress that he's talking about.
"You're not going to accept payment for such a beautiful dress?" I asked. "It's my compensation for what I have done to your hand." Well... I guess it's not bad at all.
"You should accept payments. Also I was the one who's at fault earlier and for barging in without any consent," I said and handed him an envelope as my payment.
"I told you-"
"Just accept it," I said and looked at him with puppy eyes.
"Come to me and work for me, I'll give you everything that you need and what you deserve," I offered.
"What? Do you think that I am living my life so poorly and wasting it?" he irritatingly asked.
"Of course not, I am just offering a contract to you that I know that you truly deserve," I said while smiling, he just looked away and that made me smile even more. Is that a yes?
"Just give me a visit and I'm going to make you known," I said and stood up while holding the dress that he gave.
"Yes?"
"I don't know your name, may I know it?" he shyly asked.
"Oh... Didn't I tell you?" I asked and he shook his head.
"I am Lacy. Lacy Cunningham Marquez, young lady of the Marquez," I introduced myself. "Nice to meet you, Mr. Jakob Isis," I said and left him.
You are really doing great, Lacy. First mission, complete!
Grabe! I feel so refreshed! I'm so happy and I just feel great. My efforts didn't go to waste.
Come to think of it, it's also a blessing in disguise na nasugatan ako dahil pumayag si Jakob kapalit ng pagsugat niya sa akin, and I thought that it's failed but it isn't! It actually came out well!
My eyelids are already heavy and I can't help but close them, but I think I saw a shadow...

Lacy is now sleeping while the man in the cloak stares at her before turning his gaze on her wounded hand.
Yes, it's none other than Pickett dressed in black cloak to easily hide himself. If things don't go as he planned, he can escape easily without exposing his identity.
Ma-ingat nitong hinaplos ang kamay ni Lacy na mayroong bandage, he saw what happened earlier, he can't help but to grin whenever he's thinking what happened.
Pickett thought that Lacy is just mean girl who likes to do shopping just like the other nobles. A lady who's mean to other ladies below them, a girl that's annoying and full of girly thoughts.
But clearly she's not like those girls. She's not one of them. She's a hella different, she's a brave woman.
Pero sabi rin nila na mayabang ito, well, she can brag about her life. She’s pretty, a wealthy noble, the daughter of the Hero Lucian Marquez, she has wit about politics and other things.
Just like what happened earlier, that man can kill Lacy easily as she approaches him but the look on her face says that she doesn't even fear death, she's not afraid to die or to get hurt in the process. She didn’t even waver or flick when she was being threatened. What a fearless woman she is.
She'll do what she wants and it seems like she doesn't care what's on her way, all she wants is to get what she's aiming for.
That's what Pickett thought of her.
“What a fearless woman. You have caught my interest now.”
Pickett held her wounded hand and even though it has a bandage on it, he feels her warm and soft hand, to the point that he doesn't want to let go of it.
When he thought of looking at his fiancé's face, he almost cursed when he saw her silver-blue eyes staring at his red eyes.
“W-what... Who are you?”
Pickett was stunned for a minute and they are just looking at each other when a knock on the door interrupts them, that is when Lacy tried to free herself but Pickett forces her to lay on the bed and held her hand tightly, also he put his other free hand on her mouth. “Lady Lacy? Are you okay?” a girl asked. Lacy tried to kick his groin but Pickett managed to stop her and lock her inside of his body. So, Pickett is on top of Lacy, like his whole body is trapping Lacy and preventing her from her future actions. “Hmmph!” Pickett lowers his body to stop Lacy from moving around. He lowers his head and whispered to her ears. “I’ll let you go if only you will not scream and you have to shove away your maid," Picke
A week passed like a blur. Tomorrow morning will be the tea party and to tell you, I am not even excited. I don't know, maybe it's not just my type and tea parties didn't interest me after all. And oh, I already sent a letter or a reply to my father. Now I regret that I send a reply that I am going to the tea party, I mean, where here I am, sulking and I can't take back my words, so I just need to show myself. Right? I frowned when I thought of that idea of how rude of me. Of course, I'm a noble and lady of Marquez it is not right to leave the party first. But I think it'll just bore me to death if I stay there any longer. *** And to what just I am expecting, this tea party bores me to death already. "Oh my... Lady Lacy!" Jona greeted me and bowed down as well as the other noble behind her. "It's great that you came here to our h
We went in then we saw Princess Yasmine surrounded by the guests. She's just giving them a slight smile and nods her head from time to time. I compose myself and ready my mind to perfect my plan. I am smiling while walking towards her. She immediately saw me. Once I am in front of her, I bowed down. "Greetings to the Princess of Faeroe Kingdom. May King of Gods blesses you for eternity," I said as I bowed down. She motions her hands as if signaling me to stand up straight. "Greetings to you too, lady Marquez," she said and smiled at me. "I heard that you had an accident. It's good to see you well now," she calmly said. I bowed down my head once again and looked at her. "Yes, princess. Thank you for your concerns for this noble lady," I humbly said. At the back of my mind, I am cursing her. Yes, because she's one of those people who manipulated and caused catastrophe to the kingdom. Nakipagsa
I was sick for a day. Now I am fully recovered, thanks to Ms. Anna's medications and prescriptions. And now, here, I am looking at the window of the manor. I am watching those knights who are sparring with themselves. "My lady, I am just going out for a moment. Glenna and Glenda will accompany you for a moment," Aziz said. I look at her. She's wearing a commoner's clothes underneath the cloak. "Where are you going?" I asked. "I am going to the market. Since the one who was assigned to do this. Took an emergency day off," I creased my forehead and asked her what happened. "Her son suddenly fell ill and is bedridden now." Sin
Those three kept on asking if I was okay. I assured and told the three of them that I am fine. "Maybe it's a bad idea to make you come here, my lady," Aziz regretfully said. I tapped her shoulders and smiled at her. "You're not the one who's at fault, Aziz. We didn't expect this to happen. You shall not blame yourself for something that happened already. Besides, I was the one who insists on coming here. So, it's my fault," I said and smiled at her. "Don't worry. I am alright. Someone helped me retrieved this money," I added. Elliot and Ellys are on guard. After, I talked to Aziz and comforted her. I called Ellys and told him to buy those candies, like all of them. "My lady, I think this is too much," he said and tried to
"H-how..." I also had a chance to see his hair when I was about to touch his hair, unconsciously. He looked at me and I felt embarassed when he met my eyes. Baka mamaya kung ano pa isipin niya. "You can stare at me as much as you can later, my lady," he teased. "I d-didn't...!" I exclaimed.
"Prince Pickett," his assistant called him and snapped his fingers in front of his face. Pickett looks at Fabian while raising his eyebrow at him. "Are you okay, Master? It seems like something is occupying your mind, or is it someone?" Fabian teases. Pickett glared at him and leaned back. "What is it?" he asked. Fabian handed out a pile of papers. "These are the documents and the profile of the persons we've been looking for. Then these are for the kingdom's duties. The accounts are enumerated already, and all you need is to check the amounts. Lastly, these are the documents that you told me to work on it. As soon as possible." Pickett nodded his head and checked the first document that Fabian gave him. These documents are ful
It's been one month, plus I am also in a bad mood. My father who was supposed to go home, well... obviously it didn't happen. He sent me a letter saying there is a problem and they will have a hard time dealing with it. That is why they extend the days they will spend on their job. Although I understand, I just felt disappointed because I expect too much and had high hopes. Also, Moon! He doesn't show up! Or maybe he doesn't want to, siguro kasi sa niloko ko siya o sa pag-alok ko ng kasal? Maybe both? Aish! I don't know! Should I tell Aziz and Jerome to set me up with some noble guys? No. Definitely not. How
