Chapter 3: Taken by Mistake

Chapter 3: Taken by Mistake

Removing the hood of their clothes, the two men bows down as a sign of respect to their master whos now standing in front of them.

Someone knew about our territory, he started. Good thing we already caught that rogue, one of the two men that caught Dawn added.

Is the same with the one you said few hours ago? the master asked. "The one you said few hours ago?" the master asked. The man nodded that made the master scoffs. I can't believe that rouge have the guts to return here.

"Master, maybe she has plans for us," the man said again.

His partner nudges him. She knows us?

The other man shrugged. Maybe. Because if not, she wouldnt dare to go back here unless she has plans.

"She? That means, the rogue is a girl?" the master asked them and they both nodded as an answer. His brows furrowed.

And one thing more, Master. She doesnt smell like a human.

With that, the master turns his head to the two men. What did you just say? It seems like he cant believe what did he just hear.

"She doesn't smell like a human."

The masters forehead creases even more. He wonders how is that happened? How come that she doesnt smell like a human.

"What do you mean?"

"My senses are so strong when it comes to human but now with her, I can't smell anything," the man explain.

"She smells like bird," other one said.

"Damn it!" the master pulled his hair frustratedly.

"The two of you can leave," he commands then the two of them leave. He then walks towards his room, where he can think properly. After a minutes of weighing things, he decided to go to the dungeon. One of his men intrude his way, telling him bad news.

"Master, there are couple of rouges that are now attacking us!"

"What?! Where are they? Don't tell me they are connive with that rogue girl?"

"No, Master. These rogues are the hunters in this forest and they are the villagers of the land."

Anger is now evident on his pale white face and his fangs are now visible over his reddish lips.

"They are at the back. They trying to destroy our fence, and killed all the of our living trees. They are planning to enter at the back," the man said and run away, almost flying.

After that, he threw his hands in the air and shouted a command; "Rogues are attacking us! Attack them!"

It's a simple announcement and everybody who doesn't know about the rogues are now making their way where the rogues are.

The Master was now shaking his head because of anger and frustration. He was closing his knuckles too tight and now ready to attack the rogues. He can't believe they are facing a trouble like this, right now after so many years of living peacefully.

On the other hand, Xiomerrah is on a deep sleep with a nightmare. She saw Dawn being caught by the blurred images of two men. They were dragging her best friend into dungeon, push her into the cold cemented floor of dungeon. And to her surprise, Dawn transformed into a big monstrous mammal with fangs. Then, there's a man who have a long whip and use it to beat her up. The wolf growls. Then, he whips her again and again until time, the wolf lost her strength and fainted. She was back into her human form. She has bruises, contusion and a cut on her neck and leg that is now bleeding. She looks dead lying on the ground.

Xio's eyes snapped open because of that. She sat down while panting and sweating heavily. She was holding her chest and she ran her hand through her hair and try to calm down herself.

As soon as she calms herself, she leaves her room and knock on Dawn's room. After minutes of knocking, no one was answering her so she decided to open the door. There's no lock in their door, even at the front and back door of their house. At first, she just took a peek in Dawns room but when she came in afterwards. She gasped when she saw Dawn's bed, it's neatly and not rumpled. Surely, there's no traces of being slept.

Xio took a deep breath and slowly exhale afterwards. She roamed her eyes around and notice that Dawns cloak was missing, so does her best friend. She storms out of the room and put her coat on and get out of the house.

Her feet automatically run in to the forests depth. She was following the scenes in her nightmare. It was dark, cold and nostalgic. Only the moonlight that sipping through the leaves and trunks of the trees guides her way. Xio hate dark and coldness. She never like being trap around the dark surroundings, nevertheless, here she is. Searching for her best friend while hugging herself in the middle of the dark and cold forest.

Out of nowhere, she suddenly heard voices. She thought she lost her track and she doesnt have a choice but to follow those noises direction.

Xio froze where she stands when she finally found where the commotion coming from. Her eyes widened as she saw fights in her very own naked eyes. Her voice trap in her throat that she couldnt make a single word. Her feet nailed into the ground as she cant move them even her brains were screaming at her to run away. All she could do at that very moment was to watched the bloody battle in front of her.

Shock was understatement to describe what she feels right now. She feels like there was someone who dropped a bomb in front of her when she saw men with cape and fangs attacks violently to their enemies, sips their blood and drop them with colorless body. Then, she heard a powerful voice, commanding the men with fangs.

"Stop! Put all the rouges in dungeon! Secured our place! Make sure no rogues can enter in our territory again!"

With that, all of the men with swordthe rogues, has been caught and dragged by the men with fangs. caught the mans with fangs. There have only four of the rogues that were left alive.

Her eyes widened when someone pulled her, caught her in the act. She shakes her head before she has been pulled from where she stands.

"N-No! I'm not one of the rogues," she cried but the man seems like doesn't heard anything from her. They are following the other mans and rogues in the way to dungeon.

"Please! Please, hear me out!" she cried again and has been ignored for the second time. "Im here f-for my best friend. Sir! Sir, let me go, please," she pleaded but nothing change. She's caught and pulled by the men she doesnt even know. She never wanted to be with them.

The next thing she knew, she was being chained at one of the cells in the dungeon. Her tears escaped from her eyes. She's crying not because of her situation but shes frustrated and worried on what happened to Dawn right now.

She was taken by mistake.
