Chapter 6. A Demon Slave

Iris inched back away from the demonic figure. Her heart rumbled and raced as her fear completely overtook her body. Her breath hitched as if her lungs had suddenly lost their air supply.

Iris trembled in fear.

"Y-you killed my parents?" Iris asked, continuing to back away as the demonic figure stepped forward towards her.

She wanted to scream for help, but her stiff tongue choked her voice. Her hands touched the floor as she continued to drag her body backward.

When she was in front of her mother's room door, she thought to turn around and run as fast as possible. But accidentally, her back hit something in front of the door.

"You seem to have misunderstood. It wasn't him who killed your parents. It was me."

Iris closed her mouth when her back touched another demon standing behind her. She didn't want to look back anymore. Her head was lowered when she saw the demon's feet approach her.

"Why are you doing this to me? … Am I that I don't deserve to live?" Iris asked in a slightly whispered voice in fear.

Her eyes welled up with tears when she realized that his life was on the line. These two demons who meet her will become angels of death who will forcibly pull her spirit out.

"Tsk! You talk like you're a holy creature on earth. Stop pretending, slash your skin and attack us." Said the demon behind her.

Iris doesn't want just to give up and die a tragic death in her apartment. But no matter how she fought, the result would be the same because she didn't even know how to fight them.

Especially the two of them, and she was alone. Her mind was shaken after knowing her parents were killed by the devil behind her. Why is her luck so bad?

Iris had no other choice but to surrender. She drew near the demon in front of her and sat kneeling on the floor. She held her hands up as she begged at him, signifying that she would not fight back.

"I would be very grateful if you killed me most gently... And also, I have one request of you..." With teary eyes, Iris stared at him while she held back her fear.

"Tsk! What a waste of time." Said the demon behind Iris.

The demon in front of her didn't move, nor did Iris even hear the sound of her breathing in the sudden silence of the room. But what she understood from the situation was that he didn't blink when it looked at her.

If the devil's weakness were her blood, she would cut her veins. She was scared, angry, and desperate. Both her adoptive parents were killed by the demons.

Biting her lower lip, Iris looked at the demon with conviction. If humans could resemble demons, then she would. At least she could survive even though she had to be tortured by the devil in front of her.

"If it's the devil behind me that killed my parents, I'm willing to lay down my life for you if you kill him," Iris said firmly.

"HAHAHAHAHA! STUPID! SO STUPID!"

Iris closed her eyes while placing her hands on her thighs. She didn't care anymore about the damn demon that killed her parents. It sounds ridiculous, but it is worth trying. Negotiate with the devil.

The demon who had been standing still and like a statue finally moved closer to her. And just as she felt his hand touch her hair, the door to her apartment was violently smashed by someone.

"IRIS!"

Iris immediately opened her eyes and was about to turn when she heard Tommy's voice calling out to her. But accidentally, her cheek came into contact with his cold hand. She immediately looked up like an automatic to look at him.

"Max, you take care of the outside."

"Tsk! These people are troublesome."

Iris seemed to be hypnotized when she heard his deep voice. The bedroom door slammed, and also the noise outside the room did not seem to interrupt him.

And when he crouched down, and his face was not far from Iris's face, she couldn't even blink a single moment.

"Do you know the risks of being a slave to the devil?" He asked, which made Iris' body tense up.

But just as Iris shook her head, a touch on her neck made her automatically hold her breath. His fingertips feel they were cold like the undead.

And the slight touch of her skin, Iris closed her eyes again.

"Do you have any scars on your stomach area?"

Iris, who couldn't focus because of the demon's hand on her neck, couldn't help but shake her head. And suddenly, with a quick movement, she was thrown onto the bed with her body on the bottom of him.

"You lie, baby." He growled.

"He-hey! Wait a minute! What are you doing? Wait!" Iris screamed in panic.

The frightened Iris was sent into a panic when he forcefully took off her coat. Due to his rough movement, the glass bottle filled with blood was thrown and fell on the carpet.

He didn't care when Iris was rebelling violently. He pulled up the maroon sweater Iris was wearing and immediately checked for any scars on her stomach.

But when he saw the slight scar above the diaphragm, his expression slightly changed, rising from above Iris's body.

Iris felt awkward as he stared at her bare front body. Somehow he could tell there was a scar on her stomach. She pulled the blanket over the bed and covered the front of her body.

"D-does this scar bothers you? My mom and dad said I already had it when they adopted me." Iris asked, slightly biting her lip.

She didn't know what this demon wanted because Iris herself was afraid but also curious about him. But as he drew near again, his face suddenly changed and revealed a look that captivated Iris.

"Ana, I will say my name once, so remember it and keep your mouth shut after I speak." The demon said in a voice that was also different from before.

Iris had no idea what was going on in this room. The sound of gunshots outside the room should have made her panic and frightened. But instead, she was half lying on the bed and staring at him.

She was locked in by that demonic gaze that made her unable to move as his cold hand touched her neck again. Either the demon was on purpose or not because Iris felt her ear being touched by his lips.

"My name is Jonathan Hickman." He whispered so softly.

But Iris immediately tensed up because the voice wasn't a whisper like she thought. Like she feels stung. That's like an invitation to make love. Iris closed her eyes, feeling the heat spreading through her body.

"Th-then how do I call you if I can't say your name?" Iris asked haltingly.

The demon named Jonathan stared at Iris's face for a moment. Pulling her chin up a little and then pulled the hair around her neck.

"Ana. Did you forget what I said?" Jonathan pushed Iris, causing her to squeal a little softly. "I told you to shut up after I spoke. Why do you defy me?"

If only this were a dream, Iris would be delighted to meet Jonathan. She could enjoy that sharp-looking face from such a close distance. The hiss that came out of his mouth sounded like a sigh that made Iris fantasize wildly about Jonathan's figure.

But suddenly, Iris came to her senses as she felt a pain in her stomach. She opened her eyes and saw Jonathan slicing through her skin with his black, pointy nails.

"From now on, you are my slave, Ana. Keep this a secret."
