Daryl puts me in the secret room through the wardrobe and drops me on the bed

“You will be safe here”

I had no idea that Daryl knew about the secret passageways in the house, I am guessing Tasha told him but Christian knew about them as well so I wasn’t exactly hidden but I know longer cared about my safety.

Stretching out on the bed, it was nice to finally be able to move and yet every inch of me ached

“I will be back as soon as I can” he leans over and kisses me on the forehead and I wondered how many times he had done that when I was out of it

I don’t try to stop him from leaving, I know there is no point, he would go because he was fighting for me, fighting for something that he truly believed in.

In a way it was funny how Christian and Daryl’s roles had switched like I had woken up in some kind of alternate reality.

I’m sorry, but this hurts my heart how Christian turned into the “bad guy” and for no reason that makes this character flip seem plausible. It just makes me sad to have to read this.
