I wished Darius was staying, but I understood his desire not to get mixed up in this war more than he has already been. It would have been nice to get to know him some more though. There was one thing I was completely sure about though, with Hunter, we would stand together and face this new threat, just as Caleb said.

“Very well, but I do hope you are making the right choice. When the time is right, I will return to get to know you.” Darius spoke, his eyes harboring a bit of regret. He then turned to Zac and a wide smile appeared on his face. “It is good to see you brother, it has been a long time.”

“Yes, it has.” Zac returned his smile and then moved to stand directly in front of Darius. “If I had known…” His voice trailed off as he looked down at the ground.

“Don’t think another minute of it.” Darius shook his head and pulled Zac into a brotherly hug. “It probably would have happened to one of us eventually. Artemis will stop at nothing to get to our mother.”
