Nathan’s Point of View
“Something is wrong,” I told my best friend as I looked down at my phone. “Quinn phoned and didn’t speak, and now she’s not answering.”
“Ok, calm down, I’ll try Summer now; it was probably just a pocket dial or something”, he said as he pulled his phone out and dialled Summer’s number. I watched him try her number twice with no answer, and I was getting a bad feeling. I mind linked Asher to come to my office straight away.
“I'm not saying anything is wrong, Nate they might have gone for a run, and their phones will be with their clothes, but maybe we should go and look for them anyway.&rdqu
Quinn's Point of ViewI woke up in the backseat of the car with Allie sitting in the passenger seat and the man Nigel; I think his name was driving the car. They were talking about what they were going to do with the reward money.“How far do you think £25,000 is going to get you? I asked as they both jumped at the sound of my voice.“Didn't you hear it's been doubled?” Allie told me before facing Nigel, “you, were supposed to give her enough to sleep for hours.”“I thought I did”, he snapped.“Ok, so how much do you think £50,000 is going to get you when you have two packs chasing after you.” I laughed. “You know both Alpha Liam and Alpha Nathan will come for me, so I really ho
Quinn's Point of ViewI must have fallen asleep at some point as I woke up to someone unlocking the door. I jumped up as Megan walked In with a tray of food, the smell making my stomach rumble.“You need to eat,” she told me, setting the tray down on the bed.“I’m fine, thanks,” I told her, ignoring the pangs of hunger.“I made it myself, and you need to keep your strength up.” She sighed before sitting on the bed. “I understand you may not trust me after what my sister has done, but I know Nathan. We grew up together and were friends, and if he promised your brother he would look after you, then I know he’s coming, and you need to be ready for a fight. Xavier isn’t going just to hand you over, so you need to be ready.”
Quinn's Point of View“Either you mate with Alpha Xavier, or I slit your throat right now, your choice.” I recognised the voice of my father, and even though I knew he hated me, the emotionless tone of his voice as he threatened to slit his daughter's throat broke my heart a little bit. Luckily I was saved when a wolf jumped on my father from behind, knocking us both to the ground. My father turned and stabbed the wolf, but it was too little too late as the wolf quickly and easily snapped my father's neck. As I looked from my father's broken body to the wolf that saved me and got stabbed in the process, I realised it's was Asher.“We really need to stop making this a habit,” I told him as I placed my hand over his wound, and this time, I managed to heal him. Asher tilted his head to the side and licked the
Quinn's Point of View“We have a small problem,” Noah told us as he and Nathan walked over to Summer and me. “I overheard Beta Justin saying that Megan betrayed the pack, and he wants to banish her from the pack.“Did he say what she had done?” Nathan asked lowly.“She gave me a switchblade which I used on Xavier to get away from him,” I told them, watching the surprise and admiration flit over Nathan’s face, although whether it was for Megan or me, I wasn’t sure.“I would invite them to our pack, but I don’t trust Allie after what she did.”“She only did that to get Megan away from her abusive mate, and I think any one of us could be capable of the same to protect the one
Quinn's Point of ViewI slept the whole way back to Cold Moon and woke up as Nathan parked the car outside the packhouse. Summer opened her door and got out while I tried to wake Megan up. We got out of the car, and there was a crowd now surrounding us with Sarah pushing her way through to the front.“Oh, thank God your ok. Don't you ever scare me like that again, young lady.” she pulled me into her arms and kissed the top of my head.“I’ll try my best not to get kidnapped again,” I told her as I hugged her back.“I'm glad to hear it. Now is there anything else you want to tell me?” I noted her sneaky smile as she looked behind me. It didn't take a genius to work out who was there.
Quinn's Point of View“Allie, what are you doing here?” I whispered as I sat up on the cot, quickly scanning over Megan and Summer to make sure she hadn’t hurt them. “I promise we will look after Megan, but you should leave now.”“She ruins everything”, she spat.“What do you mean? I asked carefully.“Charlie was never meant to be hers. He was my boyfriend then when I brought him home to meet my family. I had to watch as he ran into her arms. They never even gave me a second thought until he started hurting her, then she begged for my help.”“Yes, and you tried to help her. That’s why you took me to get money to help her.”“Y
Quinn's Point of View“Wow, these houses are beautiful, Nathan”, I told him as we walked through his pack to Megan’s mum and dads house. “I've always liked them, but I like our house better, and having the huge back garden will be great for when we have kids. I can just picture them running about laughing with Noah and Summer’s kids.” “We’re having kids?” I asked.Nathan stopped and looked at me, blushing as he shuffled his feet. It was surreal watching this big strong Alpha being so nervous. I didn't mean to scare you. I was just thinking of the future.”“You didn't scare me, just surprised me.”He frowned as he looked at me. “I
Quinn’s Point of ViewWhen we got to the backyard, it was obvious the boys had been busy. The grill was going with the table next to it filling up with burgers, and another table had been filled with drinks and plastic cups. The pool cover had been taken off, and people were already starting to arrive. I spotted Liam and Jake, so I made my way to them.“Hey, you two, I haven't had a chance to speak to you. Thank you both for coming to Red Rock to help me.”“You don't need to thank us we are family. So how are you feeling about moving here.” I could see the concern on Liam’s face as his eyes searched mine.“I'm excited”, I told him, relaxing when I saw the relief flooding his face. “I have Summer here and a job at the hospital, and most i
