It seemed Gemma had just drifted off to sleep when her cell phone rang loudly. It sounded like a nuisance alarm that made Gemma let out a lazy moan. She reached out and groped over the nightstand for the noisy object. Gemma opened her still-heavy eyes to find out who the human dared to disturb her sleep. She saw Purity’s name on the phone screen.
