It was the next morning, the day of Preston's trial. I thought going into this I would be more nervous, but I actually wasn't. We had Cyrus and my dad for starters, we have down some intense research on him and he even confessed! We knew for definite that he'd get some time for Matilda and we have so much evidence on all the other crimes, this is gonna be a clean sweep!
I got dressed into my most sophisticated outfit but also, not too sophisticated. I knew this was my last day staying here with my parents, they were being moved into a different house after the trial. After Cyrus spoke the court took a break, I think everyone needed some time to try and take in everything that was just said. After the wholesome family moment, the court got called back in. The jury didn't take long to decide what was to happen to Preston, much to Gray's annoyance. We were now sat in the courtroom waiting for the jury to come back in, I was pretty confident that we'd won this but you never know. I was sitting watching Netflix on my laptop finally having a lazy day, with work and pack chores I don't get many of these. I sit back smiling but the bedroom door opening breaks my relaxing moment. Emma, my brother's mate, walks into my bedroom, she frantically runs to my mirror fixing her hair. "We have to go to the pack house, the Alpha's holding a meeting," she tells me still fixing her hair. I finish packing the final bag, I know this was a good thing but I couldn't help but feel sad. I lay in bed looking at the ceiling for hours, I managed to get maybe 3 or 4 hours sleep but that was all. I had this problem when Kyle and me first moved into my old pack, no matter how hard I tried I could never fully get to sleep. Kyle always said it boiled down to our past and how I haven't fully accepted the things that happened, he thinks if I try to accept them it would help me get over it. But I don't know if I'm ready to do that yet. I turn my attention to the window to see the sun beginning to come up, I guess there's no point trying to fall back to sleep now. I decide to get up and start getting ready for the day, the early bird catches the worm I guess. The amazing thing about this room was there was a bathroom connected to it, which meant I didn't have to see anyone else I could just start getting ready. I round my things up and hop in the shower, hoping that would help to kill time.

After breakfast, Grayson was giving me a tour of the huge castle, which was just getting even more beautiful. My favourite part had to be the huge ballroom, he did tell me when I first arrived that I'd love it. It has huge with murals on the ceiling, it had gold statues it was beautiful.
