Chapter 3

It's the 3rd day of being home quarantined because of the said virus.

As we ate our breakfast silently, Rye suddenly spoke. "I got a call from Dr. Fierro. According to him, there's a location that evacuates the remaining citizens here." He looked at Ace. "And we have to help out. He sent me the location last night through email. I'm not familiar with the place but we'll use gps to lead us there. As for now, we'll not be evacuated, we'll just help out the evacuees to move out. As per Sab and Max, we'll send then away and make sure to be the first to be evacuated. Us adults will be left behind and help out." He explained. 

Marj shrugged her shoulder, "As long as the kids were safe, then I'm willing to help out." She said and ate a spoon full of food. She's a heavy eater, yep.

After eating we cleaned everything up. Ace readied everything, from the suit to the things we need for travelling. Foods, beverages and other necessities like health care and girly stuffs. 

"The kids were ready, pack your things up." She said as I stood up and went to our room.

I took a stroller bag and pack Sab's things, like clothes and etc. I also packed mine, just enough for 5-7 days.

I sighed. We need to travel just to be safe, I'm getting anxious again at the thought that we're going outside and again witness those horrific sight we saw just days ago. Before I get panic attack, a warm hand caress my shoulder. "Don't worry too much, Rye's with us." It was Marj. She smiled at me warmly, assuring me that it was okay, everything is, despite of the chaos that we are facing right now.

I sighed and touched her hand that was on my shoulder. "I murmured a thanks before she took a step away from me. She'll also prepare her things.

A minute or so, Ace entered the room. "Everything is ready to go. You two," she pointed at me and Marj. "let's move out, time is running." She said.

I grabbed my stroller bag and goes out. 'Take a deep breath Belle, deep breath.'

"Akin na." salubong sa'kin ni Rye pagkalabas ko ng bahay. We're on out full body suit and we have a breathable mask on, gloves and such. 

Binigay ko kay Rye ang bagahe ko at nilagay naman niya ito sa trunk ng sasakyan. Marj opened the back seat door and I entered. Bale ang position namin, ako sa left side ng backseat, followed by Sabrina, then Max and Marj was on the left side. Ace on the other hand is on the shotgun seat while Rye's our driver.

"All good?" Tanong ni Rye habang nakatingin sa front mirror, chinicheck kung okay na ba kami. And I nodded, since nakikita niya rin naman ako.

The car engine starts roaring as we make our way out the subdivision. Rye's car is tinted, so di kami makikita ng mga nasa labas. I looked at the window, wala ng masyadong tao, walang mga nag iingay na bata gaya ng dati, tanging tunog ng sasakyan at mga ibon lang talaga ang maririnig mo, pati na ang bawat hampas ng hangin sa mga puno. Ang dumi ng paligid.

Napatingin ako sa harapan ng biglang huminto si Rye. The gate is closed and Rye get off to open them of course.

Lumingon sa'min si Ace, "You okay Belle?" She asked. And I just nodded as an answer. She smiled at me then murmured, "Everything will be back to normal, soon."

Medyo gumaan na pakiramdam ko dahil na rin sa sinabi ni Ace.

I looked at the children beside me, they're asleep as we continued to travel towards the said location.

"Tulog muna kayo, gigisingin ko nalang kayo pag nakarating na tayo 'don." sabi ni Rye habang nag d-drive parin.

And as if on cue, my eye lid's getting heavy, and soon feel into a deep slumber.

NAALIMPUNGATAN ako ng biglang may yumugyog sa balikat ko. 

"Ate Belle. Gising." Paggising sa'kin ni Sab. 

Unti unti kong inaninag ang labas ng sasakyan. We're on a forest. WAIT WHAT?! FOREST?!

A warm hand held my hand and i instantly looked at that person. "Calm down. We saw some refugees here in the woods so Rye decided to take a stop." Marj said, as if knowing that I kinda panic. 

Napabuntong hininga naman ako. Tsaka ko lang nakita na may mga tao pala sa kabilang side. We are like scouts, camping on the woods, a bonfire was on the center of circled people. 3 groups to be specific.

Pagkalabas ko ng sasakyan, nakita ko si Ace na kumakaway sa'kin. Kaya lumapit ako sa kanya, napaggigitnaan siya ni Max at Rye. And oh, wala na din ang full body suit nila, and napatingin naman ako sa suot ko. Wala na rin pala ang akin, siguro tinanggal ni Marj or Ace kanina habang tulog ako.

Umupo ako sa tabi ni Rye at nagtanong, "Bakit wala na tayong suit?" 

Sa halip na si Rye ang sumagot, si Ace ang nagsalita. "We got a call from the base, sabi nila no need to wear suits since hindi naman airborne ang virus. They don't still know paano nat-transmit pero sigurado silang hindi airborne." She explained. "And Rye was the one who undressed your suit." She added then winked. 

Napatingin naman ako kay Rye at ngumiti, kaso bigla siyang lumingon sa kabilang side. Natawa nalang ako sa isip ko ng makitang namumula ang tenga niya. Aasarin ko na sana siya ng may biglang nagsisidatingan na mga kalalakihan, they are running and gasping for air.

Ace immediately stood up, inalalayan niya 'yong isang lalaking malapit na matumba, puno din ito ng dugo at marami itong sugat, parang kalmot. Kitang kita sa mukha niya 'yong hapdi ng mga sugat niya, wala din siyang tsinelas, napatingin din ako sa isa pang lalaking inalalayan ni Rye. Ganon din ang kalagayan nito, puno ng dugo galing sa mga sugat na natamo.

The first guy point a finger on our back, sa direksyon ng pinanggalingan nila. Napalingon naman ako, and there I saw a silhouettes of a person. He or She is approaching us. Pagkatapat niya sa liwanag na gawa ng mga bonfire, 'don namin nakita ng buo ang kanyang mukha, he's----
