Big Tex's

My 18th birthday was months ago and I just got out of the worst relationshit of my life. I knew it shouldn't have gone past the first date, but I did it anyway. He was controlling and verbally abusive from the start.  It didn't help that my friends hated him and had no problem letting me know just how much they wanted to drown him in his own hot tub. My soul sister, Maddy, had a plan to knock him out and hold him down to the jets. She said it would take him out faster.  But... I'm stubborn and can not be wrong; a trait I inherited from my dad. (Thanks Pops.) I don't care how right they are. Eight months of my life I'll never get back. Oh well, fuck it. Tonight we're going out and I am finally free to be who I am and not have to listen to what a piece of shit I am for dancing with my friends or laughing at someone's jokes. I love to dance and it's been months. We pull into the parking lot of Big Tex's Road Hall. It's not really a club; the owners turned their reception hall into an under-aged dance hall on Saturdays. A way to keep kids out of trouble I guess. We weren't going to be there long anyway. This was just a stop along the way to see if there was anyone to add to our little party train.

I'm feeling nervous and I have no idea why. I've spent every Saturday here since I was sixteen when my parents FINALLY allowed me to start going. With the exception of the last six months of course. We check-in at the door and get our giant Xs across the backs of our hands to mark us as under twenty-one. Giant X's, so dumb. If we wanted to drink, there were plenty of dudes over twenty-one with ice chests that would slip us drinks and all it took was just a little bit of flirting and dry humping on the dance floor. Easy peasy. But, I'm not there for that.

As we get into the main area I scan the room. I catch a glimpse of Chuck in the DJ booth. He spots us almost immediately.

"Well look who finally decided to grace us with an appearance..." I hear Chuck's voice boom over the music. Fucking Chuck. If he wasn't one of my best friends, I would strangle his gay ass.

I wave then quickly flip him off. He starts laughing and replies with a flip-off of his own "I love you too Cupcake."

Well, I guess Chuck won't be accompanying us to Tremors tonight. So far it's a one-car party train. I scan the room again. "Damn, this bitch is dead," Maddy says. "Where is everyone?"

"I have no idea," I say kinda annoyed no one here. This has always been the meeting spot, we'd hang out for a bit then all leave to go to the next club or where ever the house the party was at. "Damn, it couldn't have changed that much in six fucking months."

We cut through the tables and make our way toward the dance floor. Maybe there was someone interesting along the way. Maddy spots Anthony across the dance floor leaning on the stage and starts to walk toward him. Ant sees her and starts to smile his stupid ass cheesy smile. Maddy was one of those chicks who was the center of attention when she walked into a room. She had long black hair with dark brown eyes that would cut through your soul. She was super pale, but it worked for her. I'm sure being stacked with DD tits and an ass you could bounce a quarter off of helped a lot too. She was that friend that every girl needs. Drop-dead gorgeous, but not a bitch about it. Fiercely loyal and wasn't afraid to tell you when you're being a dumbass. I met her in the fourth grade and we were attached at the hip ever since.

"Hey there ladies," Ant is staring at Maddy's tits, as usual. "have you told your momma yet?"

"Told my momma what?" Maddy smacks him on the side of the head to make him look at her in the face.

"Told your momma I'm gonna marry you, and we're going to have fifteen babies."  He wiggles his eyebrows at her.

"Not even if you were the last man on earth. I'll be a mother fucking lesbian first." She says rolling her eyes.

"Awwwww Mads, that hurts my heart. I need a drink now." He fakes being stabbed in the chest and digs in his little cooler for a Bud Light Ice. I'm not sure how he got the cooler in the building, Ants only twenty. But, whatever. We both roll our eyes and laugh. If you ever wanted to hear a cheesy pickup line, Ant was the one to go to. That gets him laid like crazy though. These girls just eat that shit up. Ant wasn't a bad-looking dude, just wasn't our type. He was like a brother to me. I heard a plethora of his garbage game, and also witnessed the skanks that shit actually worked on. So that was a hard pass for me. He moved his sights to Maddy, but he'll get bored with it eventually when it doesn't get him anywhere. He's the dog of the group. If it has a pulse and a vagina, he's going to try and get it in bed.  Ant was about 5'9 and had a pretty stocky build. Actually, he was really cut, with milk chocolate skin, and wore these ugly ass round glasses. I keep begging him to get contacts, but he thinks he's sexy. So, whatever my guy. Ant was usually the one who guided everyone in which direction to go from there. I have no idea why he was the designated guide, but he was.

"Where is everyone? It's dead as hell in here." I asked looking around.

"Most of the group is already at Tremors. It's just me and Dane right now." He nods across the dance floor to the guy leaning against the railing. Explains how the cooler got there. Danes twenty-one. We walked right by him and I didn't even see him.

"Why is he over there alone all weird and creepy like?" Maddy looks in his direction and giggles a little. "Did yall break up already?"

"Girl, please. He should be so lucky to have a piece like me." Ant flamboyantly fans himself. "Nah, he didn't want to come here so he's over there pouting like a bitch."

I look over at Dane and I realize I've only talked to him twice. Once at the memorial of a mutual friend that passed away, then later that evening when the Grand Douche, my ex Ken, invited everyone back to his parent's house to go swimming. His parents were out of town and he wanted to have a party, the memorial was a perfect way to get people to the house. At that time Dane was interested in doucheys sister Sheryl. She was a bigger twat than Ken, which says a lot... but she was pretty. If you like thunder cunts.

"Hellllloooooo... Vivian!!" Maddy's voice cuts through my thoughts. "What are you staring at so hard?"

"Huh? Oh. I was thinking about commander douche and his twatwaffle sister." I focus back on Maddy and Ant.

"Ew. God, why?? Fuck those righteous inbred assholes. I thought you were looking at Dane. He's sure noticing you right now." She laughs. Maddys yelling my name caught his attention over the loud dance mix Chuck is currently playing. I look over at Dane and dammit, she's right. He's looking right at me. Shit. He has to think I'm weird now.  "Bet you won't go over there and say hello."

"Bet the hell I will." I eye Maddy as she smiles her sly smile. She knows that kind of taunt will get me to do whatever she wants me to. The good ole "bet you won't". She has gotten me into so much shit over the years with her I dare you and bet you won't shit. Fuck. Now I have to go over there and talk to him... after he thinks I was staring at him. Great.

"Bet you won't. 'Cause your ass is still standing here. Now scoooot..." she smacks me on the behind and kinda pushes me forward. SHIT SHIT SHIT! What the hell am I going to say? I make my way toward Dane and I see a little smirk come across his face. Damn... He's not a bad-looking guy. I didn't notice that before. I was too hung up in my own shit with the douche canoe. God, I hate that fucker. I still have no idea what I'm going to say. I step up next to him. He fully smiling now. My heart starts to pound in my ears. His smile makes me weak in the knees. Then, it just comes to me. I lean into him and take a breath... his cologne is intoxicating. I get close to his ear and he leans down a little bit to hear what I'm about to say, still smiling.

"Nice shoes... wanna fuck?" I look from his shoes to his eyes and that smile turns to a form of shock then amusement. He's laughing at me. I cock my head to the side and lift my eyebrow and look at him with a taunting smirk on my face. He leans in close smiling, there's that cologne again, filling my senses and making my legs tremble. He puts his hand on the small of my back and pulls me in close to him. My body reacts without my permission and I lean into him, electricity flowing all over my body. What the hell is that? Why am I reacting like this to a guy I've, basically, just met.

"I don't think I've ever had a girl ask me that before." He said looking from my eyes to my lips then back into my eyes again. I wanted to fall into him and kiss him like my life depended on it. Snap out of it Vi. This is stupid. He runs with Ant, you already know he's a dog.

"Come on slutty... time to go." Maddys is pulling me by the hand. Fucking Maddy. She either just saved me from embarrassing myself or cock blocked me. Either way, we were on our way out the door.

"Hey! Wait, where are you going???" Dane called from behind me.

"Tremors lover boy, wanna come, or do you want to stay and hang out with the babies?" Maddy yells back as we continue toward the exit, never breaking pace or letting go of my hand.

"Wait... Hang on..." Danes still calling. But we're out the door and headed to the car.

"Holy shit. He smelled so fucking good! I need to know what that cologne is. Cause FUCK!" I say laughing as I get into the passenger seat. "Are they coming later?" Hoping I would get to see him again. I was going to get that kiss. I needed it.

"Nah, Ant is staying there tonight some new blood came in just before I came and rescued you. And Dane rode with him. So I guess he's staying too." Maddy said eyeing me as she pulled onto the main road.

"Rescued is probably right. That dude would ruin my life, and I was about to let him. Fuck he smelled so good. And that smile! Jesus Christ! I just need to get a piece like that." I fan myself mocking Ant from earlier. "Shit... I didn't get his number. Fuck! Oh well. Guess that shit wasn't meant to be."

The rest of the night continues. We get to Tremors and find the rest of our group. It was just what I needed. Through all of the fun and laughter the memory of his cologne and the look on his face as he looked into my eyes flashes in my head. I was with him for maybe five minutes. Why can't I get him out of my mind? How did he get under my skin so quickly?  I wonder when I'll see him again.
