CHAPTER 36| MORE THAN EUPHORIA

" It's illegal right?" I ask Chase. We're in my bedroom and he's yet to leave after dinner. My fingers play with the diamond necklace he bought me around my neck. I still can't believe he'd get me something like this. And then his words kept ringing in my head. 

 'I don't want you to hurt me.'

" What's illegal?"

" The underground fighting club." I say.

 Chase smiles. 

" I mean, for a long time I knew underground fighting was illegal. Big, rich men, who get off watching two people try to kill themselves have tried to legitimize it, but I don't think they've succeeded."
