“Scarlett! If you don’t stop...” I feel him shaking slightly as he tightens his arms around me even more. Even after what Soren did last night, I still feel safe in his arms. I always have, but no one seems to understand that, the same as they won't understand why I will choose to stay with him even after what Soren did. I then whisper in between kisses,“Nix! Can you...” I then look up into his eyes.
“Are you sure? Butterfly? I don't want to scare or hurt you anymore! I don't want you to think I am just taking my pleasure from you...”I can hear the nervousness in his voice and I know it will take time, but we are meant to be together. I move my hand lightly over his skin up to his chest. I smile as he hisses low again. UNKNOWN POV I have spent the years working my way further up in the guard rankings, so I am able to get my hands on more and better information on who, what, where, and when things will be happening. Which is how I came to be standing in the shadows watching the event rather than being on duty for it. I watch as everyone dances with the princess and then listen to them gossip once she sits back down. Most of them were complaining about the vampire standing behind the king hissing low and threatening at every male that approached her, saying she has no mark and therefore could be their mate. I smile to myself, knowing that, that particular vampire happens to be the princess's mate. Everyone in the castle knows and has known since she was a newborn. They have, however, managed to keep it quiet from everyone else. All the paperwork and stuff to do with the clans and the Blood Moon has all been taken care of, but the encounter I had with Sharon has me a little on edge. SHARON POVWell, that didn’t go exactly as I thought, but I still got what I wanted and I haven’t had pleasure like that since Soren. I go and meet up with the other male and let him know what junction to be sitting near and that I will let him know once she leaves. I then make my way back towards the building with the office she is working in.
