SCARLETT POV

Over the next few weeks, I start to wonder what has gotten into Phoenix as he returns to being the loving male I have grown up with. I am tempted to ask him, but I don't want him to go back to how he was, how he was cold and seemed to only touch me because he had to. I wonder who had a word to him, who made him see what he was doing to both of us. Nah, I need to know.

"Who have you been talking to? Up until I started the transfusion, you have been acting like I was poison to you."

"The day you came back with Charlotte and started the transfusion, I had a lecture from Charlotte, Sebastian, your father and even Soren reminding me of what I really feel for you and that I should be treating you better. Once you are back on your feet, I am going to sweep you off of them again."
