“Lily – I need you ASAP. Where are you?” I ask Lily through our mind-link. There is only one person who would understand why I am freaking out right now. Waiting for a couple minutes, she finally replies, “Ugh Katie – I am in training and then I have some work to do at the childcare.”
Lily loved pups and couldn’t wait to have pups of her own. For now, she appeased that desire by working toward an Early Childhood degree and volunteering at the childcare in the Pack house. It was set up so that all Pack members would have free childcare, so they could work full-time, if they chose.
“I need you to come to my room. We welcomed the Alphas, Alpha Boyd is here, “ Lily interrupts “oh thee Alpha slash Uncle Boyd

Kate POV As I walked toward our large conference meeting room, I could hear some of the Alphas had already arrived. Walking into the room, I looked around taking in who was in attendance so far and nodding as I made my way into the room. I stopped to speak with a couple Alphas making small talk. We had two Alphas who were a little more old school than the other four who were more progressive. The old school Alphas had an opinion that a female should not become the Alpha to a Pack. The other three had been supportive up to this point and I anticipate Alpha Boyd will be equally supportive. My father’s position would be at the head of the table, I would sit immediately to his right. From there the other Alpha’s sit accordingly to when they joined the alliance. Most had their Betas with
Kate POV Everyone started talking at once tossing out questions. Why me? What did they want with me? Did Blue Moon have any more information to share? They were coming at me so quickly I couldn’t keep up. Raising his hand, Alpha Jackson said, “You know what we know gentlemen. This is what we have brought you here for you. Your expertise, your counsel and most importantly your opinion on an alliance with Blue Moon Pack and their allies.”. Alpha Boyd looked down the table at me, as did Rafe with concern flashing on both their faces. Looking away, I didn’t want pity. I wanted action. I wanted people who had some answers that we didn’t have. And most importantly I wanted t
Rafe POV I had managed to get out from under my uncle’s thumb for a few minutes as a call came in which he had to take. I hurried back down the stairs hoping to catch Kate and her friend. I know I had screwed up, but I was used to getting second chances. I was not going to accept no – not until she had gotten to know me a bit better. And then I was confident she would be mine. Looking at her, being around her, and hearing her speak today has just reinforced with me the mistake I made that night. I will not make that mistake again. Regardless of what Alpha Jackson said, I will speak with her again tonight at the dinner. I will ask for some time alone with her and hopefully convince her to give me another chance.&nbs
Kate POVWith my Alpha blood I was able heal the claw marks quickly. They were a little red but nothing that wouldn’t be 100% healed by tomorrow morning. I reflected on Rafe and his instability and wondered what we would do as a punishment. That would have to be for tomorrow to be decided. When Lily arrived, I filled her in on what had happened. Lily hugs me, “Thank Goddess you are alright Katie. Do you still want to do supper tonight? We could order in, instead?”. I appreciate her concern. I was shaken up – mostly because I had not expected Rafe to be so unhinged. I was a strong woman and was able to defend myself, but for a moment I felt like every other woman. Something was happening outside of my control, I fortunately was able to quickly gain control. And I appreciated the help when it arrived. I felt a twinge of guilt thinking I should only rely on myself as I have bee
Kate POVThe meetings passed by quickly in the morning. Much had been decided or discussed over drinks the night before. It was agreed to move forward on a trial basis for the alliance with Blue Moon Pack. They will be offered a one-year agreement, providing nothing happens that warrants removal from the alliance during that first year. This clause applies to all within the alliance and is not uncommon to have this stipulation. Although we would normally enter a longer-term agreement, one year was agreed by all.I only had a chance to briefly speak with Alpha Boyd before the meetings. He was late arriving for breakfast and only had time to grab a coffee before he headed off to the meeting room. I was a little surprised but didn’t think much more of it. We were all busy and had a lot happening at any given time. After we concluded lunch and we saw the last couple - Alpha Drew and his Luna Sarah off, we moved b
Drake POV Elise was on her hands and knees as I pushed through her folds. Leaning forward I pushed her shoulders down to allow me more access as I started thrusting, harder and harder inside of her. Elise was moaning her pleasure as she was close to reaching her fourth orgasm in the last half hour. I had been riding her hard the past couple weeks, frustrated at having not heard back from Alpha Jackson and wondering what was going on with the Alliance. As I reached my own release, I reached around to Elise’s clit and pushed her over the edge, she screamed her release as I quickly joined her leaning over her spent. Sliding out of her, I remove the condom and toss it in the garbage, before crawling into bed with Elise. Taking her in my arms, she snuggles closer to me, quickly falling asleep as I kiss her
Kate POV Drake and his team had the alliance documents for review for a week. We had just heard from him yesterday that he would like to meet today to finish negotiations. When he had arrived, we had not anticipated any further discussion, but he wanted to negotiate terms and access to the alliance. Alpha Jackson was not impressed with this tactic and had just finished advising Drake so, when Drake advised he had some intel surrounding the attacks. “Holding information over us to get your own way in negotiations of joining our alliance, Drake, is not the way to negotiate in good faith. Perhaps this isn’t the right alliance for you and Blue Moon Pack,” Alpha Jackson concludes. Drake sits up, surprised that his move did not garner more interest. We had our suspici
Alpha Jackson POV Drake’s words kept resonating in my mind, “Thinking back to years gone by, Alpha Jackson, you will need to think of someone who would feel you wronged them terribly.”. The truth was in my younger days I had been cocky, arrogant, and felt I was untouchable. I passed judgements quickly, with less consideration than I had learned to have over the years. A sad reality is there were a few I could reflect on whom I had banished but I had heard they had long since perished. I struggled to think of anyone else who would hold such resentment against me they would want to obtain my daughter to hurt me. They knew my biggest weakness would be my dear Luna and our daughter. As I sat there contemplating my past choices, I
