For the past twenty minutes, since I told Belle about my plan, she has been silent. I couldn’t read her expression. I didn’t know if she liked it or not. My nervousness increased with each passing moment, as I waited for her to say something.
At this point, I would even be okay if she said she didn’t like it. Anything was better than the silence. Eric had told me I was ready to bring it to her, but now I wondered if I should have taken another day or so to go over everything with a fine comb.
