“Are we going to chit chat or get to the issue at hand and the whole reason you are here, to begin with?” My father asked the Alpha King.
I still couldn’t believe that the Alpha King was even here in the first place. Granted, I was glad he was and it definitely confirmed everything regarding Brooklyn, as far as being the daughter of one of the royal guards. Brooklyn- The moment I saw the paper fall from his hand, I wasn’t sure what to say. It wasn’t that I wanted to hide it from him, I just thought I could handle it myself. The last thing I wanted was for him to find it the way he did. The look of betrayal on his face, made me feel guilty. I knew the notes were something that needed to be handled, but the look on his face made me wonder if I should have just told him in the first place. Brooklyn-The next day flew by in a blink of an eye. Tate and I were up early to start training since we expected things were going to be busy. Which is exactly what happened. As soon as we were done training, we went back to get changed and showed. Since yesterday morning I hadn’t received another note, but that all changed after I finished with my shower. Except for this time, Tate was the one who found the note.
